As a newly minted French Quarter resident, I really love the extensive history included in these podcasts. We all know the legends, but it's so great to turn this on and hear some legitimate history too. New favorite podcast.
There was a woman named Anne who had settled in Jamaica. She lived in Rose Hall. She was very similar to Madame Lalaurie. Husbands died due to strange circumstances or disappeared. Slaves tortured and killed. Johnny Cash had owned Rose Hall at one point and spoke of her ghost roaming the halls. You should cover that story.
You left out something important. When Delphine was a child she watched her father get his head chopped off by a slave during a slave revolt. So I believe it was a act of a twisted form of vengeance.
It always sounds worse if a female would do such things. So maybe it was more salacious for the papers/ people to say it was her crimes rather than the husbands.
Historically, Creole referred to people born in Louisiana during the colonial period, who spoke French, Spanish and/or creole languages, and practiced the Roman Catholic faith regardless of their ethnicity.

You're absolutely correct, he should do a video on that lady from Jamaica.
Thank you, I will research that as well.
"The White Witch of Rosehall"
I knew Johnny cash sang Ross Hall plantation, but didn't know he bought the place
@@aamia3769. If you do, make sure to include the info that this story has been debunked. Repeatedly.
You should do a video on Marie Laveau.
This podcast is not consistent with many others I've heard regarding this story. I wish I could find factual podcasts

It was Delphine's uncle, her father's brother, that got murdered by his slaves during a rebellion.
Well done!!!! 👏
The music was was too loud, your voice over should be the main focus.
exactly and the echoing was annoying too
Very interesting and wonderful.

REAL Story starts at 15:00
Thanks😁
Idk why this mf spent 15 minutes talking about nothing but bullshit🙄🙄🙄🙄
I kind of don't want to subscribe because you have 666 subscribers as of now. Haha
I know people like to add music but as you get older it messes with hearing the words.bit should've been way quieter.
I'm done at 3 min
Piano is irritating but stops soon after 3
I really wanted to listen to this whole story but that background music is unforgiveable.
What piano music did you use?
It was custom made just for the N ew Orleans Episodes by Adam Wright: ruclips.net/channel/UCK9DL-TNFujrvlJBdE9W59Q
She’s not creole. To be considered creole is to be of mixed heritage (African, Native American, some small part European) she was just white Irish.

Nice content, thank you. It would be better, less distracting, without the little white "voice" line though.
I'd put money that it was the Doctor that did it.
The first 8 or so minutes were 100% unnecessary. Seemed to be pointless filler.
facts
Most of his vids r like that
Some ppl (like myself) love history so I'm here for ALLA IT!
I quite liked the historical information
Wow. Smh.
the echo effect is highly annoying
And people are proud of the south.
