Hey Trey B. I know a lot of ppl are not behind his hire. Pittman is a great football mind and humble enough to accept he needs help. We just landed a great DC in Odim, and the man was smart enough to keep one of the best Wr coaches in the sec. What he lacks in experience he makes up in connections. Best H.C.? maybe not, but he'll put together a staff that will send shockwaves across the SEC

Arkansas has enough talent to be at least a 500 program over the last 2 years. I know they do, this is not an untalented football team. There was no direction, there was no solid figure head pointing everyone in the same direction. It was just chaos, from loud music at practice to I don't know what the hell on special teams, to a defensive coordinator who just basically refused to recruit. This was like the real life version of the movie major league. Sam Pittman will change all of that. I absolutely love the man. I wish I was 30 years younger and had more talent I would be ready to suit up today. Bottom line lane Kiffin is the cool uncle who is gone at the first hint of trouble, Sam Pittman is the uncle who loves you truelly cares for you, wants to see you do your best. And would take and raise you as his own son if your parents died. And the young men who play for him know that. I said all of that, to say this. Sam Pittman gets the best young recruits because he cares for them, it's not a job for him. It's who he truelly is, and the young men know it, and will fight tooth and nail for him.

Aaron Lovell that’s the comment I was looking for everyone saying they will be happy if we win three games next year really happy if they pull of 4 or maybe even 5. No no no. This team should pull out at least 5 wins. Like you said that was bc of the coaching we still have most of the same players and at that a year better players. The coaching was pitiful and there is no reason why we should look at anything less than 5 wins. We do not roll over to these mid division schools bc we made a bad hire. He will get it done. I don’t think he’s the greatest coach but I believe the guys will think he is and go to war for him

A happy upbeat "Walk-N-Talk." Thanks Trey. Trey Biddy's "Walk-N-Talk" the Coach Pittman era begins. Very excited about the hire. Arkansas needed an Arkansas guy like Coach Pittman and God made Coach Pittman in a Razorback mold. I understand there are many factors that go into a winning program and one press conference does not win a championship but Coach Pittman has the "IT" factor for Arkansas. Coach Broyles had it, Coach Nutt had it and Coach Pittman has it. Coach Pittman will fight like a wild Hog for this Razorback team and so will his players. I understand next year will be a rough first year, but overall, I feel it's going to be an fun ride with Coach Pittman and the Razorback teams he puts on the field. GO HOG'S!!!!

While I have hoped for the best, Arkansas has been in the cellar since AD Jeff Long fired our winning Coach Petrino 7 1/2 yrs ago. Will we ever rise from the absolute bottom of the 14 team SEC to be where we once were? 7 years of losing have convinced me hope is futile.

Sorry Trey, your comment on the Pittman/ Skipper connection speaks volumes to me. The recruits brought in by Pittman allowed the most sacks in Arkansas history. Shipper was big and slow and his position allowed the most sacks of all. The SEC made a fool out of Skipper, Bielema and Pittman with their big fat and slow philosophy. The first thing Morris did was put the team on a weight lose program. This "may" be the reason the team did not like Morris. The little piggies went wee wee wee all the way home.

    • @HawgSports
      @HawgSports  4 года назад

Um, no Randy. You're forgetting about Kurt Anderson, who was the worst OL coach I have ever seen come through here. Your memory is wrong on this. So Pittman is here with Skipper and the guys he brought in and played as true freshmen and allowed 8.0 sacks his first year to lead the SEC, 14.0 the next year to lead the SEC and 14.0 the year after that to lead the SEC. All three years Pittman was at Arkansas they led the SEC in fewest sacks allowed. Pittman leaves and they allow 35.0 sacks in one season under Anderson playing musical chairs, and you say it's all Pittman's fault? I don't see how you make that leap. Really odd take Randy.

It remains to be seen by what this is about, and all of the B.S. that the Razorback Football is all about. I rather see either Lou Holtz or Ken Hatfield, or Danny Ford, but I have this feeling that it will only last a year and a half, since there is a history of what Arkansas Athletic Director department has made poor decisions for the past 5 decades, and then there is the possibility of the money that is paid for head coaches, and yet the tuition goes up for each hiring of a Football coach. How about decreasing the cost of tuition first, and stop making poor decisions in the Razorback Athletic Director Department, and paying head coaches more than a regular fan can afford to pay for the insane tickets, and start using the stadium in the off season for outdoor activities and concerts to help reduce the price of the tickets come Football season, and reduce the cost of tuition due to outdoor activities and concerts in the off season? Maybe then it can help with all of those stupidity of the buyouts of head coaching staff costs.

I have watched and listened to you for a good while now Trey. But I've never responded til now, mostly because I dodge attention and crazies. Anyway, It is nice to see you trying to fight off a smile and lose. Haha. Anyway, #WPS. I sure hope this works out. I admit that I have not watched a hog FB game (but all other sports) since the end of the 2017 season bc I was embarrassed at how the state acted..calling people names like fat, and yankees, and intentionally by wrong pronunciations. Of their names. Many earned the pain from the last 2 years over that. We will see where this goes.

If you think this hire is better than Ole Miss getting Lane you know anything about football. Hunter is going to leave the first time the AD job at another good AD jobs opens. Hunter had Lane and BOT put a knife in his back. Arkansas Media by the BOT put a hit piece on Lane and in the.Sunday paper did it agsin to Hunter.

I don't get it we fire bielma because his style won't win in the sec. Then we basically just gave chad morris one year with his class because of the fan base impatients even though this is a 3-4 year rebuild. Then we hire Sam Pittman who coach under beilma an this is his first head coaching job. This is the exact reason why top coaches won't come here. The only thing we're building is debt

I won't say horrible hire but definitely a bit of a head scratcher considering.the jeopardy this program is in. I like Pittman but it seems like it would have made more sense to guy with at least some HC experience. Anyway everyone knows Trey and everyone else in Ark sports media (especially a certain Demozette sports editor) are following the instructions of the BOT and boosters who torpedoed the hiring of another candidate to spin this into a glorious thing. That crap that was put up on Trey's board about Kiffin and Sexton getting played by HY is pure BS. The Ark sports media makes me sick to my stomach. Anyway I'll wait and see with Pittman and hope I'm proven wrong.

@@mortysmith216 Couldn't retain Chad Morris. 3 year rebuild doesn't mean a decline in the first 2 years and suddenly you have 8 wins out of nowhere. There is natural progression that is observed.
Chad was a buffoon and the team was lost.

@@bryand7958 The first year was bielma crappy players and the second was a big group of freshman an bielma crappy players. What were our honest to god expectations hell besides chad recruits and boyd there isn't anybody on the team that's worth mentioning. I'll admit he had a horrible offensive coordinator but our expectations are unrealistic that's why nobody wanted to come. Now we have a first year head coach an everybody excited we'll never be on a top tier level.

    • @bryand7958

@@mortysmith216 unreasonable expectations? I wanted 4 wins. I would have taken 3 if they looked competitive in some more games. Chad got a fat meaty turd dropped on his head by WKU and lost to San Jose State. Ty Storey made him look like a fool. There was no improvement whatsoever and Morris was an extremely unlikable guy with his coach speak. Chad Morris was a fool that thought he was playing 4d chess while everyone else was playing tic tac toe.
Bottom line: no improvement and he lost the support of his team.
Edit: I also don't think this is a good hire. Dave Clawson looked like exactly what we needed in every way shape and form.
