    I hope you separate the buck from the doe's for a few months after birth because a friend of mine didn't. His doe's rebred two months after they gave birth. Not cool and drains the doe's. Looking at the age of the yearling mom, I hope the buck is not the dad to the mom. It's common for new Very young moms to not like their first kids at first. Try twice a day op she may start drying up early for lack of stimulation.

      No early rebreeding here. We are on a yearly breeding schedule. We don’t want to overwork our does and want to keep them healthy. The buck and mom are unrelated and are the same age (give or take a few months). We are hoping she is a better mom next go around. As for the milking, we still to this day only milk once a day (she gave birth in February) and she is still producing.

      Yes! We had to take a pause to get ready for our sweet baby and enjoy some special time with them, but hope to resume in the near future with even better content!!
