The terms Sanskritization was used instead of Brahminization also because the Brahmins from different regions had different practices and customs(like Bengali Brahmins eat fish). Thus the use of the term Brahminization would also require specifying which Brahmins

*Sanscratisation - relevant in the society , masses imitate charismatic leader --- helps in advertisement through behavioral change
* characteristics of dominant group still relevant - economic power, political power and numerical strength determines the dominant class ( through democracy)
Caste groups mobilise and agitate for "reservations" to strengthen their mobility and gain the associated privileges( jobs, political power, economic power etc)
* westernisation- leading to universalisation of local culture to global level
Eg..tribal cultural through arts and crafts, regional songs popular at world level
* Still relevant to understand the social mobility of the Indian society
Eg. Secularisation of culture ,values ,norms , institutions, organisations.
