Hey guys! Thanks for the kind words! We suggest that you start with a thin layer of Flitz on the feed ramp and none on the pad. That'll keep the starting spray to a minimum(and keep you from wearing it!) You can always add additional thin layers as needed. Great demo vid!! Stay safe! Stay shiny!
I came here to suggest Flitz. I've used it on EVERY gun I've owned for about 20 years now and I swear by it. Every feed ramp, breech face, sear engagement surface, and a dozen other possible places get a good buff with Flitz before I even take them to the range for the first time. I found Flitz a long time ago when I learned to build 1911s with the VHS Wilson Combat Armorer's Course. Nothing puts an end to the classic 1911 jam faster than Flitz. That's also when I discovered that polishing the breach face seriously smoothed up the action also. Polishing the feed ramp is logical but a lot of people forget that the cartridge rides up and locks into the breach face before it even hits the feed ramp in a lot of guns. As for the polishing method, I use a strip of terry cloth clamped into my vise. I apply the Flitz to the part, tension the cloth strip with one hand, thread the cloth through the barrel, and run the part up and down the cloth in the direction that the metal to metal interface needs to move. For example, in this video, the rotary tool spins across the feed ramp instead of up and down it. When I do my feed ramps, I polish in the same direction that the cartridge moves. I don't know that it makes a huge difference, but it makes me feel better and I don't get face full of Flitz that spins off of the tool.
Just installed my pro-formance parts kit. I went from a 10.0-12.0lb pull to consistent 5lbs and that number will likely drop as I get her lubed. Can you believe I perform the installation of all the parts and upgrades in about an hour and I got hung up on the bolt safety. Being left-handed I kept putting the damn thing in backwards or upside down. Getting it out and then re-aligning it a couple times before I finally got it right. Anyways, that was the slowest factor in this build was definitely the sea clips on the crossbolt safety. I also installed the flat face trigger and brother let me tell you it runs
Hoping a thorough cleaning, as well as this polishing is going to help my Taurus G3 with its fail to feed problems! This is awesome can't wait to try it. Thanks much! :)
@@shuumai But which is the worse fate ha ha? The possibilities are truly endless in this scenario for poor mofojackson and his FTF issues and reliance on handguns made by Floridians!
@@harpsitardo I think he identifies as she now, which confuses the whole gay thing though. Maybe a touch of Stockholm syndrome though. (I'm glad my G3C gives me better options, although I don't carry it much.)
For those attempting to polish a feed ramp for the first time, this kit does not come with "everything" you'll need,.... It's missing a safety face shield. 🤣
I have a P11 barrel thats parkerized all over including the feed ramp and chamber. I noticed the parkerized feed ramp is a bit rough and sticky to the nose of bullets. How do you feel about polishing that with the kit?
If you spent 25 mins polishing. Isn't that a bit long to be polishing the feed ramp. Would that amount of time spent polishing remove material and change the geometry of the ramp?
Yes Sir, you could use a finer 1,000 grit silicon carbide sandpaper to start and finish with polishing. It will speed up the process a bit but same results as there are very minimal machining marks.
@@MCARBO I just polish the feed rump on my ppk/s it came out very good, it had a lot of machining marks I used 600 grit and then 1000 grit and then polish it. it took me about 45 minutes because the ppk/s has a fix barrel and is kind of hard to work on it.
Lol i didnt realize u guys are down here with me i was just at sand key for the weekend with the kids on the beach anyways i dont need a video for install just the trigger and guard for it guys i ordered it if i knew u were in clearwater i woulda picked the parts up but its cool im in ocala just send them up to me and if i cant figure it out i know where to come thanks yall
If you sell feed ramps; what aren't they sold already polished? Buying your feed ramps and then having to buy your feed ramp polishing kit seems to be "double dipping" the customer........
They don' t get 'dirty' - that's actually metal. And I don't think you'd need to swap them out. I think they send enough material to polish more than a few feed ramps.
These RUclipsrs that are gun enthusiasts don't know this😢 did I tell you the gun is a piece of junk it's a jamming up or having issues you can always repair your weapon new or old
Don't polish your feed ramp. Only if you have failure to feed or failure to extract issues should you polish your feed ramp in any way in my opinion. Remember the last three words I just said

That's a lot more polishing than I'd expect.
Why do t you sell them polished
Some companies that sell accessories polish them but most dont great info!!

Does the kit actually help I’m thinking of getting it when I pick it up?
I took chrome polish and a 3 foot long length paracord and just rub it until it’s polished took about 5 minutes.....
Very nice just used your lesson to polish my IWI Jericho feed ramp. It’s beautiful 😉. Thank you.
Thankyou I have never seen anyone make something so small use so much polish. 🤣

Did polishing help the G3? I saw in another video that there are at least two different feed ramp designs. One is more narrow.
It's been a year and no response. He's dead from a Failure to Feed immediately after he hit on a Hells Angels girlfriend. Sad. 😢@@shuumai

Is it easy to over polish and damage the feed ramp?
Definitely my next purchase through you. I just ordered the trigger upgrade for my Kimber micro 9 and can’t wait for it to get here!
Video on replacing the feed ramp coming soon?

Buffer and sights next! My s2k will be dripping in Mcarbo parts.
Awesome! Thanks Brother! We're working on both of those. Are you in the private FB group? facebook.com/groups/122988781589317/
3 bits supplied to properly polish 1 feed ramp. But only one was used I'm the tutorial video?
Maybe have a pre-polished as an add on option.. charge an extra $10-$15, just a thought.. that way they would not have to do everyone of them..
I used this on my Nambu 14, works well

Do you polish your chamber to
Are there other internal parts of the Sub2k I should consider polishing? Maybe parts of the bolt carrier assembly?
great video, how do you like the performance of polishing your ramps? Thanks William
Probably not.
Maybe a better question might be if there have been any misfeeds since installing a polished stainless feed ramp.
Do those work for AR15 feed ramps or just pistol type ramps? They look too large for AR
would this fit gen 3?
How can you tell if you are over polishing? Can you damage the feed ramp if you do over polishing?
Might be late to the game but is the process the same for Kimber
barrel mated to the feed ramp as one piece ?
Any install videos??

I'd put it in a desktop vice...save my fingers!

Brass fitting, you should call it a collet
Why cant you polish them at production? I would rather pay the extra $6 to you to have it sent nice and polished..
not knocking them.....but, it sell's extra product's......
$6 definitely wouldn’t cover a half hour of labor, and the polishing material. Lol
Just did this. Took 10 mins
You can even change the shape of them it'll make them not to nose dive
Offer up a polished version and I'll buy it.

I agree. Bought a new barrel for my g2c and ran into a squib.. Spanked it out and polished it. Old barrel never had that issue.
