  • This video presents an overview of dirt biking at Pozo/Las Panza OHV Area from a Bay Area dirt biker’s perspective. This park is very similar to the southwest section of Hollister Hills SVRA, but the area is much larger, and the trails tend to be straighter since they were carved on the ridge of mountains. The views on many of the trails are spectacular and this park is definitely worth the drive. This park is best suited for advanced riders comfortable with riding black diamond trail, or beginners content with primarily riding the dirt roads traversing the park if you have a street legal bike.

I watched your videos, decided to go check it out for myself. That place is awesome. It’s kind of like Hollister but a lot more advanced. Is definitely not for beginner riders intermediate and expert black diamonds definitely are a challenge. Recommend if you’re not an expert stay off of them.

Pozo is a fraction of what it used to be before the USFS designated most of it as wilderness. I rode the Hi Mountain Enduro there is the 80s, and it once hosted a national enduro. The event was sponsored by the Cal Poly Penguins, a campus club from kids in the ag school. Tony Pavone

Some of this looks like the lower portions of Stonyford. If you haven't ridden it you need to check it out. It will blow your mind

Need to get some single track! That looks nice but set up for razors. Are there a lot of razors out there?

I am not familiar with the term razors but this park does not have a lot of single track trails. A few of them have short segments of single track. I would suggest that you go to Hollister Hills or parks in the Tahoe National Forest area for single tracks. The few times I've been to Pozo, I went during the week so most of the time I was the only rider. I hope this helps.
