I think a neutral site makes it more competitive, but I’m with Colby, the atmosphere is a necessity. Also, can’t expect a fan base to spend tons of money traveling to a potential 4 week tourney. Personally, I think conference championship games need to disappear as well. I wouldn’t go to that, vs, a playoff game. Only so much money to spend? Would attend home games in playoffs if possible and travel to one if possible when needed.
These bigger conference schedule makers will end up projecting who they think in their league is going to be the best, and give them the easier schedules….we know this will happen, so I foresee less, big games in season as the conference tries to get their projected best teams to the money maker playoffs
