I already wrote a comment on what the song is about but I'll copy it here too.
Breskvica is singing about the fear kids experience in times of war. The song tells a story about a father eagle comforting his terrified son how it will all end soon and skies will be clear once again so they can fly free. Basically the song is about never losing hope and always believing in a better tomorrow, a tomorrow without conflict, a tomorrow of everlasting peace. It's dramatic and intense for a reason, and the calm "priest" singing too, as I felt it it was like searching for a piece of blue within a dark, gray and cloudy sky and when finally found it grows bigger and bigger, calms you down, like gives you a sense of serenity. Amazing song, truly a piece of art. I honestly hope this song gets on ESC and people understand the strong message it carries.

The song serves as a metaphor for the NATO bombing of 1999, though its interpretation may vary. Also, saw someone comment that she can't deliver it live and I completely disagree. She does have her "bad" moments, but generally, she sings pretty well and I'd expect her to completely deliver this song live.

Ok, so, these lyrics can be interprated in so many ways. Lets begin with the obvious one: NATO bombing began in spring 1999 (lyrics: it is spring, everything blossoms, but gray clouds appear, black birds may refer airplanes) . Black birds crumble eagles nest ( Serbia has eagle on its flag) .
The second one is Albanians uzurpating Serbian Kosovo ( lyrics down there behind the hill , where the land is flat - Kosovo polje), black birds appear ( Albanians have black birds on their flag) ... Third meaning is Serbian suffering throght history. Wars, bombing, etc..... Personally I want this song to represent us, Europe needs to hear this no matter the final placement! GO BRESKVICA, SRBIJA KOSOVO❤ ❤❤

This song isn't specific and can mean anything to anyone. Some bad people are trying to twist this beautiful song into something that it isn't.
Breskvica and Zorja are my favorites :) The text is like a metaphor you can interpret a lot into it

The song is symbolic and full of metaphors. It talks about the Serbian people's longing to be free again. The "black birds" are actually NATO occupation forces stationed in the Serbian southern province of Kosovo and Metohija since 1999. The father eagle tells his little eagle son to be patient and wait until the NATO troops leave and then everything "will be over", meaning - Serbs will be able to return to their cradle in Kosovo.

The whole concept of sending ethnic songs is ok, but it’s not going to work if she’s not capable of executing it properly live, and I’m not sure she is. I totally get you. I mean, my all time favorite Greek entry was Yianna Terzi’s Oniro Mou who unfortunately didn’t get to the final…and Yianna nailed it completely! She sang perfectly and yet failed to qualify. Now imagine this uncharismatic and untrained little girl. She wouldn’t stand a chance. No way in hell would this even qualify for the esc final. But I appreciate the idea behind it though.

The thing with Yianna was that the staging was unfortunate and it didn't help the song to appeal to people that don't know about this music. So yeah... It will depend as you say on her ability to perform this live, and of course on the staging!!!

It's not a review it's a first reaction. Audience at Eurovision won't have subtitles. So I'm doing the same to see how it would feel.
@@Kostis_ESC of course there is no subtitle because the competition is for the country of the same speaking area, and you don't understand..for the rest, the text is written on almost the first 5 comments of each song, or try your best and type it on google, it is available..and for the rest, what can you feel without understanding lyrics, you listen to the song and not the composition, and the song is not complete without the lyrics... so then like: write in the comments what she said... it was the same for Konstructa and Megan (did she say that Megan, oh my God).. or Ramonda , or songs from Ukraine, Croatia, etc. what difference did he give the review or the first listening, anyway, you are not prepared and that takes 30 seconds, and this kind of recording looks pointless looking at the facial expressions because you don't understand the text. Not only you, but 99%.. A beautiful Ethno song that talks about the rise and fall through life, in every person about bad weather and period, but in the end the black clouds leave, we stand up stronger, it's clear, there are no black birds, the sky is as clean as a soul❤
