Thank you for addressing insect issues and how to handle then. I would love to see more.

Sure enough! 2 white moths and green 3 tiny caterpillars. Also found some eggs on the kale leaves so I smashed/wiped the eggs. Will definitely harvest them this evening. Thanks for the great straightforward information🐛

I love your posts on plant problems. I have the holes also in my kale, but many many more, but cannot find any eggs, caterpillars, or any signs of other insects. I see a cabbage white caterpillar now and then but no sign of eggs on the underside of the leaves. I have not seen a snail or slug in my veggie garden in 4 years since I took over this piece of the yard for a veggie garden, and I don't use any kind of insecticides. I am thinking something maybe coming from underground at night to do the damage, but when digging, all I find are worms, so I put them back in the ground. I do have a gopher that loves my garden too, and I will trap him if possible, as have a gopher trap, but the holes are quite tiny, and are not on the edges anywhere I can find, just in the centers. Question do Moth caterpillars eat at night, and go underground as have not seen any on the kale in the daytime ever?
One final thing, I have other varieties of kale besides the same as you have, and they don't seem to be touched at all.
Could you please post your comments if you have any on what may be the culprit. Thank you. 🙂
