I was weaned on the JBL 4311s with a pioneer amp. One thing: ya gotta get those JBLs off the floor, three feet at least and you'll notice a difference in the clarity and crispness of those tweeters. Thanks for the memories!

Hi Ken… yes, you right, this is the Classic way, and i tried and they work as you say. But i also tried from the floor giving it an inclination of about 3 cm. My listening room has a height difference of about 20 cm in the listening area, and I got the same feeling from putting them up high. So between having them on pedestals and from the floor sounding the same, I preferred to keep them that way. Thank you very much for your suggestion. Greetings from Chile

Hello colleague... the L100 consists of the same components as the 4311... And although the 4311 are from the professional near field line, I would not recommend it for a very large space. Neither do the L100, since they are the same line as the 4311 but were designed for "home". But based on the construction of both, they move well in a small/medium space.
Thanks for your comment. Greetings from Chile.

Great amp. How is compared to Pioneer that is above it? In your opinion

Hi Milan… the purchase is not fair because the Pioneer is a preamp. But if I compare each pre stage of both, I can say that the Pioneer has a flatter tone, without coloration in the highs, mids and lows. While the Sansui I feel like it has a personal, pre-defined tone. In the treble it is quite sweet... but soft, pleasant. It doesn't have strident or incisive highs and they don't tire. In the medium frequencies it is quite even and flat, leaving the voices and some instruments such as wind instruments, etc., always ahead and present, without distortion or overshadowing the highs. And on low it works pretty well for my taste. It doesn't exaggerate the bass in the sense that it blows everything out, rather it delivers a precise but very detailed bass. But also the JBLs help him a lot and they pair up “super well”
