  • These timers are can be used for any timed appliance, but are often used for hot water cylinder timing.
You will need to adjust your timer at daylight savings and if the power has been off for a long period it may loose time.
The best time to have your cylinder on is when your solar generation is near its peak so for a north facing array, from 10am till later in the afternoon. If you have a smaller cylinder or high demand, you may need a small boost in the morning before hot water demand. The less you can boost when there is not sun, the more savings you will make.

@masumhossain6601 you set the time and it rotates like an analogue clock. We install with battery reserve do will keep time in outage for limited time. You need to manually adjust at daylight savings

I am installing a 16 Amp Hager EH011 Slim Din Timer to a 1800 Watt Hot Water Unit. Could somebody tell me if a Contactor (Relay switch) is required.

it will burn your main switch if you don't. What happened to me anyway. won't hurt to put one on. This was a year ago so I suppose you worked it out 🤣
