I remember not knowing what to do with my life near the end of highschool. My grades were shit, my only 3 friends were going to move out to attend a faraway college after graduating, and I was so lost. I had friends and relatives telling me to go with certain colleges or take certain majors that are in demand, and I was so stressed about meeting expectations.
During this time, my parents said that I can be whatever I want to be, and I kept that mentality. Now, I am attending my dream college for the major I was the most interested in and I am thriving. I am much happier than I used to be (even with the stresses of college), and I now know what I want to do with my life.
Thank you for making this wonderful song. I think I can relate to it a lot. I really also have to thank my parents for always being there to support me and my decisions. They really just wanted me to be happy in life.

I’m only 24 years old, but lately I’ve been really hard on myself. Having trouble loving myself although I know I’m enough. Knowing that my struggles are just stepping stones to the bigger opportunities to come but still worried about making mistakes and the judgement of others and those around me. Silently judging myself or being ashamed I’m not pretty enough when looking in the mirror. However I continue to go back to the thought of “who made these decisions for me?”. Continuously overthinking and making judgements towards myself. There are no standards I should follow for anyone but myself. I can start at any point in my life to do any of the things I want. I can be who I am and be enough with just that. For anyone else struggling, just know you’re enough and you shouldn’t be fit to standard of what society tells you. Keep going, because you’ve got this! ❤

i never normally comment on videos, and i know i'm a year late, but it's currently 5am where i am and my anxiety has gotten to the point where i am genuinely afraid to fall asleep and wake up in fear of the next day being worse. i just came down from an anxiety attack and just listened to this. i am at complete peace. i've heard a few of your songs before and just like those others, this song came to me at the right moment where i needed it most. and for the first time in a little while, i can fall asleep at complete peace. you probably won't read this, but i still just want to say thank you for this, yaeow. so much. your music is comfort to not only me, but so, so many others.
