Most important thing is stop coming here without travel insurance which too many people do to save a couple hundred dollars and end up with hospitals bills for over 10k they can't afford. My biggest expense living here each year is my health insurance and my first class insurance for our car and bikes. There's a new go fund me every day here for people who wanted to save 1 or $200. Just makes no sense to me.
@fkscopes I live here, can't get cheap travel insurance. I need private health care and first class insurance for our vehicles. It's definitely my largest yearly bill. Of course I spend more on food and normal living costs but you don't notice them as much because it's spread over time in your monthly budget.
Thank you palm (Sawadi clap) this is the first time I am writing here, great informative topic, I speak a little Thai (pod Thai net noi la clap) Great job
It’s sad that Thailand asks if you have money first before providing medical services. I am currently in Da Nang hospital for food poisoning treatment. They stabilized my medical emergency situation first, then they asked me to pay afterwards which was a surprise.
@@lightning6718 I would stay away from aloe vera and pasterized yoghurt. If you can find raw yoghurt from good source that's fine and coconut is also fine 👍
Thank you Palm...yes. The scammers are getting very ingenious!! You have to ask all the questions you mentioned. Have them hold the phone and walk around..etc...it's crazy what Ai can do...and it's getting better and better!!! Great video as always...
Thank you so much for the kind words! 🙏 You're absolutely right, scammers are getting more creative, and AI is making it even trickier. I really appreciate your support. 😊🌟
very interesting and thanks for the heads up! I will only buy "safe" alcohol in Thailand ;) (from 7-eleven, Macro, Tesco, etc.) and remind me to never step into a small boat! that looked dangerous 😦
This video Is so important for people that travel thanks Palm.....we have to pay attention and Plan before we go to some countries.....i prefer Thailand
Thank you so much! 😊 I’m so glad the video helped! As for the hair, you’re too kind! 😄 It’s all about embracing what we’ve got, everyone’s unique in their own way!
So sad about the foreigners visiting Laos being poisoned. I rarely drink alcohol, but for those who do......I'd suggest always getting it from reputable sources and make sure it's in the original sealed container, never from "buckets", e.g. And I'd stick to major brands to be extra safe. Thank you, Palm.🙏🙏
Thank you for your thoughtful comment. 🙏 I completely agree, safety is so important, especially when it comes to alcohol. It’s such a sad situation, and I hope more people stay safe by being cautious.
Dear Ling noi, thanks for the pictures of the real monkey business. After some experiences I'll stay away from these tricky guys. Anyway, better than the consumption of cheap self mixed alcohol. It's an international topic. Some young backpackers think it's cool to try. Lethal accidents in Turkey, North Africa and anywhere. They should stick with 7 11 Mekong Whiskey. Btw, found good flight tickets to Bkk for the early year. But no way to find a language school 😮. Bye, eager to watch next Palm video 😊. K
Glad you liked the monkey pics! Those tricky guys are best admired from a distance, haha. Totally agree about self-mixed alcohol, it’s risky. Awesome you found good tickets to BKK! 🎉 For language schools, you can try this free course> mooc.chula.ac.th/course-detail/174 and if you're in Thailand I think this one is the best choice in Bangkok > www.arts.chula.ac.th/CTFL/ Let me know if you need tips. Thanks for your support, see you in the next video! 😊
I’m glad you enjoyed the concept! As for 1669, the staff may know some basic English to assist in emergencies, but it’s always a good idea to learn or have someone help you with key Thai phrases just in case. 🏥✨
There is good news, such as the story of Moo Deng's older brother finding a partner and being ready to have kids. Personally, I don’t think this would be useful for viewers, so I chose not to present it. Or the news about Nong Noey dancing at the EM District, I don’t think it’s suitable for this channel’s audience either. As for the news I do present, even if it’s not always positive, it depends on what people who want to travel here might find relevant. In reality, no place is perfect, everywhere has its good and bad sides. What I aim to share is information to warn people about certain situations and advise them on how to handle them if they find themselves in similar circumstances.
Question: is it normal for a Thai woman to have multiple Facebook accounts? My Thai girlfriend has 4 or 5 accounts. She tells me she needs the accounts for her online selling, I was not comfortable with this and asked her to consolidate all photos of her to only one of the accounts, this caused a major fight all of my friends and family said this is a scam why so many accounts and the fight against moving the photos to one account?
It’s not uncommon for Thai people, especially those involved in online selling, to have multiple Facebook accounts for personal and business use. I understand why this situation made you uncomfortable, but it’s important to communicate openly about your concerns. Approach the topic calmly and explain why it bothers you. If she values your relationship, she’ll try to understand and find a solution.
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll definitely consider it. I don’t post daily because I prefer to focus on news that’s really helpful and relevant to foreigners visiting Thailand. Appreciate your support! 😊
Nope. Those of us who know our limits and stay well below them are no liability. Judgemental people? Those people are liabilities - to themselves. A lot of times, they end up on the ground on their backs.
@@ScooterOnHisWay2024 you also judge me for being judgemental. Judgement is an opinion. Guess what you also have opinion on things and people. I am not going around bars and judge drunk people.
