    Just found your channel and subscribed. Great videos all very well explained. I hope you don’t mind me asking though what type of leds do the ecotech radion gen 3 pro use and the ai hydra 26 hd as I need some leds for some I have. to replace them?

    Is there an easy way to make your own power source for the XR30? a cheaper version than what ecotech sells

    My PCB board is burnt out. Can we not bypass the PCB and make it direct? I understand that we cannot control the mode, but I need to just illuminate it.
    If possible please make a video.

    I just found your channel, I love that you show and explain everything! Thank you! I am subscribed now.
    If you don't mind helping me, I have radio x30 pro gen3. When I plug it in it flashes like this 28:34. It also seems to beep at the same time. Do you think it is a bad power supply?

      Hard to tell for sure. Power supply failures like this are few and far between. If you have another power supply you could swap with to try, then it's an easy testl.
      I'd rather blame LED clusters (more likely) or the main board (less likely).

      @@FixReef Thank you. I actually have 3 fixtures and 2 power supplies. Same thing happens with all combinations.
      The buttons on top glow orange. If I press a button, the red and green LEDs flash once and then all LEDs quit flashing. Then the buttons start flashing blue (if I remember correctly).

      In that case almost certainly the problem is somewhere with the lights. Plug them into ecotech live over USB and reduce intensity on all channels to a minimum. Then raise each channel individually until it starts shutting off. This may give you an idea which channel has a fault.

    Hi my light on my power pack comes on but it dims ,but when I try my other light on it’s bright,but light won’t come on

      Sounds like a problem with the light itself. Perhaps a short on the board. Feel free to send it in: www.fixreef.com/mail-in-repair/

    Hi, any idea what smd capacitor is using the driver of radion x30 ?

    • @FixReef
      @FixReef  3 года назад +1

      There are several. Which one? These are also different depending on the generation.

      @@FixReef the capacitor with brown color that appear in min 4:50 above the six big component. In the video is showed at the top of the driver. There're 2 brown capacitor per each canal. I'm wondering what values they have.

      @@matiasbuscaglia6018 all of those capacitors are identical across all channels. You should be able to take off one of the working caps and measure the capacitance with your multimeter. Consider replacements that are rated to 50V and up

    I can't believe the whole board isn't covered in some kind of conformal coating. To semi water proof it. The fan sucking from the bottom and all.

    • @FixReef
      @FixReef  3 года назад +2

      I believe only Kessils conformal coat their boards. And speaking of Kessils, some really good repair and problems content is coming on them soon as well...
