So my problem with this watch is that overall it's decent but it looks like a mod watch. A lot of these things I've seen on AliExpress and other places where you can just buy a lot of these things individually and just make your own watch. It doesn't have the same look (in a bad way) as other brands. Also the price is too high, especially given what I said.
It's a really nice watch, I like it and there are no real issues with it. Is it perhaps an alternative to the Tudor Ranger? In my opinion the length of the hands is right, if the hour hand was longer it would be too long in relation to the minute hand. There is a some text on the dial, under the 6 o'clock mark it says "Zealandic", but it's unobtrusive and easy to miss. As for the price: don't get me wrong, I wish them all the best for their campaign. But if I were them, I would reconsider the price. They are a new brand that hasn't had a successful campaign yet. They should bring the price closer to $ 300 USD, I doubt many people would be willing to spend significantly more than that on this watch, as nice as it may be.
@@AlexanderB. You're right about the text at the bottom below the 6 o'clock. It's that small and close to the edge that I completely forgot it was even there 🤦♂️
It’s different which is good only thing might be if people have a large collection and rotation trying to squeeze in this might be a challenge as the used market is flat as a pancake.if you need to sell to make space for a new mid range piece like this
@@ccooper8785 Microbrand watches always cost more than those from China. That's just to be expected, as they don't have the economy of scale that AliExpress brands have.
Nice watch, Love the dial, clean and easy to read.
It's quite a looker, isn't it?
It is a very handsome watch i do like the red dial.San Martin has released some nice textured dial watches.
@@pigsydney It sure is. Is the red one your favourite then?
Yes. I see San Martin has a similar thing in pre order status. I am assuming they will ship the damn watches before Iceborne.the cost is also cheaper
Insane bang for buck given the spec & according to their website its going to be +/-5s regulation.
@@xhupf It's a really impressive debut isn't it?
Nice looking watch, texture dials are picking up.. i may go for the Light Blue dial, Red is nice and so is green. Nice review mate!
@@eshwarrao7358 They do seem pretty popular lately. I can see why though. Cheers mate.
They have taken their time to get this one as they want it and it looks to have paid off. I’ve been following the project for three years.
@@darrenak9378 Yeah absolutely. Has it changed much over that time then?
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR The immediately noticeable differences were the dial was originally a flat sunburst and the logo was a ‘Z’.
@@darrenak9378 Ah ok. Both are good changes in my opinion. What do you think?
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR A lot better now I’ll send you a couple of pics to your Ig
Good review, that is a really nice watch, I agree the hour hand is a little short, but otherwise hard to fault 👍
@@dunderhay9169 Thanks mate. It's really impressive for a debut watch isn't it?
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR I'm interested to see what they do next 👍
@@dunderhay9169 Same here.
The hour and minute hand seem out of place, they should've went with arrow or dagger style, something with a continuous taper to a point

I like it, original design decent lume and its Helm/ Vario money seems reasonable, great review sir
@@gorillasinthewrist Yeah that pretty much sums it up. Cheers mate.
Great looking watch but no bracelet means a no go for me. If they release a good bracelet down the line I’ll definitely consider it
@@mariog7213 Perhaps they could add a bracelet as stretch goal on the Kickstarter.
the colours looks deep & stunning. i like the green more.

@@chickenporkadob0 Yeah they really are.
There are a few bits on the dial, but this is a review piece and not a final production one though.
Simple and elegant. Very nice. Thanks for the great review. Hopefully they are successful with their Kickstarter Campaign. Thanks!

What a beautiful watch. No date, bezel or writing which ups the aesthetic ante for me even more. Thanks for the review.
