Froggy, I'M SUCH A BIG FAN!!!!! I tried to straightened my doll's hair by just using any temperature the water was. And it actually worked surprisingly! I actually used to watch you when I was 5. I've watched your channel for 4 years now!!😱

Another alternative, is if you have an airbrush, you can use Liquitex Matte Medium/Sealant diluted in water! This is the method I personally use.

Honestly, thank you for this. I've been wanting to repaint some of my dolls for a long time, but finding a "starter" tutorial hasn't been easy. Going in for a whole face all at once is discouraging, when you can't get the eyes even. Getting in practice through minor changes is a much better starting point, and it's relieving to see that the glaze and varnish are the only two things I don't already have.

I remember watching this channel years ago, i loved it but eventually moved on to other interests. Yet here i am years later having gotten into ooak doll customs and making my way back. The channel has grown so much its incredible! I remember watching every episode of the Darbie show and getting so hyped for the mini movie... Good times.

She's beautiful!!! If you want to do a full repaint I recommend mister super clear, beacause it gaves the face a paper like texture and you can use from pencils to paint!!

Thanks great!, I started out painting on top of original paint so as to not to make it crooked. But now I remove all of the original paint, Practice does make you perfect.

You could Use Msc or Mr super Clear to seal in the blush and you could use water color pencils instead of paint to draw in the eyes 😊😊

For chalk pastel, you can use spray resin (aka mr super clear), it's really useful and gives the doll face a smooth texture for working the face up.
It doesn't make the face glossy or anything, the look is always the same ^w^
