  • I wanted to post this song on my facebook page for my "song of the day" but I couldn't find it on RUclips so I uploaded it for entertainment and sharing purposes only. I do not own the copyright to the music or the album cover image. Trevor Rabin, Beginnings, Finding Me A Way Back Home, 1978.

I would love to see him perform this live now at some point. Still a great tune 40 plus years later.

This version is on his self titled album. Beginnings is a south africa release a year prior to the self titled. The song was altered in the USA (as heard here) but actually comes from a song called I love you, from the beginnings album.

Could have been included on Big Generator by Yes.

Notice how Getting To Know You's opening powerchord riff and Owner Of A Lonely Heart are very similar. Its hard to figure if Yes made the most of Trevor's big production style or if Trevor made the most of Yes's. I think it goes both ways. He gave Yes a new fresh style for the 80s and Yes gave Trevor a chance to do what this solo effort could not quite create. But this is still a good album.
