Between Jay’s amazing impressions and Drew’s very passionate medical expertise- this was a wild experience of an episode. Rarely do you see two people who just so visibly delved into what they love.
What Jay said about how kids can always tell when you don't feel so great about yourself really hit home. It often travels into adulthood and has a way of influencing relationships. Especially if someone has been abused domestically, it's like those sociopathic mfers can smell it, blood in the water! It takes a lot to get the "stench" off, and end the back to back horror show of abusive relationships. Finding a healthy relationship is huge after abuse. But it sometimes makes you wonder if there are cameras ready to jump out and tell you it's all a joke. Cheers to healing!!! ❤ Great episode. Love to all y'all!

I don't know why Dr. Drew bores me sometimes with some of the guests that he has on, but this is got to be by far one of his best podcast. Well done sir 👏👏👏👏
Farrow means a litter of pigs or to produce a litter of pigs. Its easy to immediately think Jay's relative was treated badly by his captors and chose that name for him or maybe they chose it because they bred pigs and it sounded nice to them. I imagine that wasn't too bad of a gig in the 19th century for a freed slave. Maybe he's related to Mia Farrow.
Might have been a positive? Back in the day having a nice litter of pigs,or a mother pig would have meant food and $$$. Or it might mean a blacksmith, people always seem to go to the negative interpretation..
Firing Jay and Taran Killam from Snl was the beginning of the end of that show. Bowen Yang was the nail and that non-binary broad was the hammer. They have gotten good at editorials informing me of how much of a bigot I am for existing, it’s a bold new direction for a comedy show.
Listen, I'm a black guy too but I just figured out why I never really liked Jay Pharoah. He's a comedy culmination of multiple comedians besides just his impressions. His constant demeanor isn't really his own everyone else was okay, but when he did the Patrice O'Neal sigh near the end of the pod it just bugged me. Get your paper though 👍
The pronoun issue can be confusing. For example, I am a fish, and my *name is fish AND my pronouns are fish/fishself ... I think the potential confusion is obvious, but as long as every single one of you refer to me in the correct way (and if you don't, I will ensure your hatespeech is reported to your place of work) we'll be fine. Okay?! You may answer.
Jay is way too damn talented to be so criminally underrated. And Drew's ability to zero in and see things about a person's core always has and always will impress me. His insight is so targeted. Thanks for having Jay on, more of him please!
Didn’t know of Jay but im obsessed already! Btw he should promote his website. So much easier to find socials if its linked. Im 26 idk if wanting this makes me old but i love a good website
no denying jay's talent but I think he may need to ease it up on the impressions or else that's all he's going to be known for. like being typecast in a sense. it's only good for something like snl and he's no longer employed there. bill hader is a good example of someone that's great at impressions but didn't want to be known for it. that's why he was able to do stuff like barry and skeleton twins. you can see the disdain in his face when people be trying to make him do impressions all the time.
As a non-socialogist hearing a bunch of also not-socialogists talk about entirely dismantling gender pronoun norms... Are you sure there aren't going to be social and psychological ramifications of removing a social framework that children need to develop identities around? Some things take decades to manifest - for example, lead on gasoline causing a spike in volience 30 years later. Although that was an environmental effect, whose to say that social disruption can't also cause long term psychological or even physiological effect, whether positive or negative?
Dr. Drew really missed a chance to educate Jay about anal sex. Jay should stay away from it if he doesn't like it, but it does not make you gay. Some straight men enjoy it, and many gay men do not. Jay's little detour into homophobia was an opportunity that Drew missed.
Love all the guests, but I wish we could get back to more Dr. Drew stuff. 3/4 of the episode is rambling guests. Let's get back to the r worded people who need help.

I absolutely love, Jay, Pharaoh. When he was talking about pegging, that had me dying.😂
Fucking amazing. Jay is a goddamn treasure. This is what my Friday morning needed.

This is what bombing on a Podcast looks like 😂
This was one of the best Dr Drew after darks yet. Jay was amazing and Drew was right about him being under utilized in SNL
NEVER BEEN MORE EXCITED FOR A GUEST ON DR. DREW. SHOUT OUT TO JAY! wish I was seeing you at the festival this weekend.
Black planet 😂😂 I haven’t heard anyone mention that in ages. Thanks for the memories.😅

Denzel at Macy's is one of the best skits on SNL I've ever seen. I still watch it over and over.

Great convo! Love Jay and Drew you are awesome and brilliant at pulling out the real stuff from your guests. 25+ years now I think
I had to take my phone out of my pocket and rewatch the Eddie Murphy impression... that was spot on.😮
He does so many voices that when he speaks normally I do not believe it’s his actually voice.
Fuck, he slipped into Rogan so smoothly. Was not expecting that.

Just saw Jay at Something in the Water 2023.
This episode was great 😂
Gary, Indiana is about 80% Black. It was definitely more diverse 50 years ago but "White Flight" changed that.
The Rogan impression was amazing.
Jay Pharoh is a beast..one of the most talented comedians imo. Dude needs to be promoted way more, glad to see him on here.
Dr Drew! You should have Cassandra Peterson (Elvira, Mistress of the Dark) on your podcast! She’s the BEST!!
Maybe around Halloween time!? Nadav, please set it up!
