I used the Waterproof case that came with the GoPro Hero3+. You can not use the GoPro under water without the waterproof case. Well... not long any way...

You carry them up the stairs to the top of the tower. They are very light. Even kids can take them up the stairs themselves..

Or did you mean 'did we take them ourselves to the resort'? No that was not necessary. The resort has these 'balloons' available for free for the guests to use. You do not have to bring them yourselves.
