  • The US' hurricane season was one of the most active in history, destroying lives and leaving victims homeless.
In August 2017, one trillion gallons of water fell on the Houston area over a four-day period - by far the most rainfall in US history.
More than 70 people died, and thousands of people lost their homes.
Hurricane Harvey hit everyone in the area. But now that the water has receded, will there be an equal recovery?
A month after Harvey hit - after the media moved on to new stories - Fault Lines travelled to Houston, Texas - which is one of the most diverse but segregated cities in the US - to see if the storm will deepen the city's social and economic divide.

Don't forget about Rockport Texas. Hurricane Harvey came through there first causing major damage and least one death. Houston is a big well known city. The little man is forgotten.

Those ppl had more than we did during Harvey. Living out on farmland with no way to get to anything, feet of water in your home. Was devastating. We rebuilt and sold our place. I could never go through that again. Nope.

There should be no homes anywhere within the vicinity of these major industrial plants. The people who live here should be relocated, and not left to take samples of air and soil as if they are part of some scientific experiment.

Texas Strong fact! Look at the ppl in positions of supposed fixing problems. No problems ever get solved, they get nicer clothes, cars, homes. But ppl keep electing the same ppl.

I hope someone has had the heart to help her and her family..that's what I see a humbling heartbreak which not many have...if it's a cup of water God has touch someone as she has touched me only difference some have the power other's are tied from men's laws not with true justice and that's almost every where...but that's how this evil works and its aloud for different reasons...one to remind us their is a God and justice many reasons to humble ourselves to see no one is bigger or better than the others...JESUS is the way not our way AND HE WILL SEND COMPASSION TO THOSE WHO have compassion and support..trust in the lord.WORD
