For me serial experiments lain was an aethetic. I can't say that I didn't understand the plot and meaning of this anime but I can't say I understood it either. I just watched it and kinda felt the vibe of it. This song perfectly expresses how I felt while watching lain. What a magnificent job by boa, that's a standing ovation for me
