This short movie called 'Finito Brothers' was based on the story of Max Payne 1 and 2. Idea to create this video was birthed back in 2017 but due to lack of time I couldnt really make it. Earlier this year I went through many revisions of potential soundtracks with ideas and after about 4 drafts of scrapped songs something had finally clicked which is the sound you hear now. The project was in the making for around 2 months, only working on it within my free time. My main goal was to create a cinematic video which is still connected to the Counter-Strike franchise but at the same time will be enjoyable for people who are not familiar with gaming at all. The Voice-over cuts you hear in the video were recorded by James McCaffrey, an actor known for his role as Max Payne in the Max Payne video game series.

I stopped watching gaming movies while ago when the clips started to be full random effects trying to show skills instead of showing frags or a story like in this one. Im just impressed of how you mix your skills with storytelling, so smooth and nice.

the continuity of the shot at 2:00 where the killfeed stays at the corner while it zooms in on the gun is actually such a small yet amazing touch. it adds so much immersion and makes it seem like it's really part of the game instead of simply an edit done in a software.

Wow, that is the best, cleanest 3d edit I've ever seen in a while. The storytelling is mind blowing, what the hell was that. Everything was so smooth, it's really satisfying to watch, my eyes were just relaxing watching this. Just keep going.

Maro i can compliment you. You achieved everything you wanted to create with this edit. This is not really about the Fragmovie itself, this is story-telling and its absolutely well made. The diversity of the different parts. It shows how wide your skill range in animation and editing is and its massive. It literally feels like a movie to me, enjoying every second with good content. Nonetheless I also liked the style you did in the past where the frags were more in the focus, but its still great.

Well fucking done... This is something that I would make if I had that much knowledge in 3d and this is what I appreciate in editing. Great concept, great visuals, clean editing with few effects in place and ofc awesome atmosphere on the entire video. Hands down, this contest brought us 2nd masterpiece.

This is incredible, I have so many questions. I've asked a few content creators that do replacement models/environments for their recreation. However, I haven't seen anyone use UE4 in their workflow. It's gotten really incredible, is this real time? What did your pipeline look like? How do you even pull CSGO demo's? Are they ripped as FBX files? Can they be imported anywhere? What hang-ups do you have when it comes to pulling the demo, vs recreating it yourself? I see many creators who make similar videos that have amazing custom animation (this one included), and using things like Mixamo you could use premade animations... so how often do you find yourself fully remaking it? Do you do all the work in Unreal? Do you texture in substance painter? What do you model in? Do you use megascans for any of it? Or did you model it all yourself? I'm sorry if this is far too much, but I have so many questions about this kind of workflow and how to replicate it. If you're up to have a conversation about this, I would be super grateful.
