thanks for watching everybody. I have another super automatic machine I will be reviewing in march that im very excited about so if you are on the fence maybe wait for that cause I think the upcoming machine might be significantly better and solves the issue the the esam 3300 has which is that you can't customize drinks.... so stay tuned

This is our second K-Classic. We had our first one for many years, so when we had to replace it, we wanted nothing else but this exact ruclips.net/user/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf model. We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.

Nice review. I bought one for my RV. Same size as my Keurig, but now have REAL coffee and buy ground coffee for the bypass doser. A pound of coffee is just about the same $$ as 12 Kcups. No plastic waste either. Cappuccino at rest areas and truck stops..awesome. Got it at a great price ☺️

    • @JoeyVaracalli
      @JoeyVaracalli  3 года назад

Well the only additional feature is the auto frother which is hit or miss since as far as I know it’s not adjustable. And you get two more drink options I believe which is nice. I’m actually doing a review of the Terra kaffee in the next couple weeks I think that has a lot of potential

    • @kiddcisco

@@JoeyVaracalli thanks for feedback, any machines you can suggest outside of the 3200 L Go as most reviewers seem to like and adjustability of frothe is moot to me but what's next step up option. Also looking at Miele 6350 but for a significant jump in cost. Not the end of the world but if I could find something in between I would take the savings, the 3200 may do the trick and definitely will do for our sons apt

Yes I agree with that too. I have the 1200 an if I’m wanting a shot non-diluted I anticipate that drip. Mine, at least, will have almost a 2 second pause after the drip and before the coffee comes. I’ll just put the cup under during the pause. Also, mine doesn’t drip on subsequent shots. It only drips when first cycled on and off (I guess to clean the machine lines) and also upon the first coffee drink during that session.

@ SP. Tip for better frothing (more micro foam) - There is a tiny hole on the wand. I line it up directly with the black handle part and face it towards me while steaming. I’ll periodically place my finger over the hole for about 1/3 of the steaming time. When the hole is covered less air is getting in and thus reduces the foam creation. It will still heat the milk while covered, just with less foam creation. I don’t have it down to a science, but sometimes I will get perfect micro foam that has that “paint” look. I’m not good at doing art, so can’t say with certainty, but I do know what perfect micro foam to do latte art looks like. At the very least I almost always manage getting delicious latte foam that’s not too foamy.

I'm looking for an "affordable" espresso machine for my in-law - simple, no grinding, tamping, etc. Being an espresso lover, I think you are unfairly criticizing the amount of coffee (8 vs. 12 oz) the machine can make. Four additional ounces of water dilutes the coffee too much. There is only so much coffee you can extract out of a given puck. The intensity of the coffee varies by adjusting the amount of beans for a fixed puck size. If you were to extract 12oz of coffee from the same puck, I the result would end up being "hot brown water."

Liked the overview. I have this unit and agree with a lot of your thoughts on it. I ultimately got it for the price (paid under $399) and because I really wanted to get away from a Keurig and Nespresso. I’d describe it as “good enough” for my needs.
The price and convenience of a user friendly beans-to-cup experience let me overlook the shortcomings. I’d ultimately like a semi-automatic which gives me more control and better frothed milk, but I won’t go that route until this one dies and I have a bit more counter space.
Have you tried adjusting the temp settings? And yes the limitation on the volume is likely because these machines were originally designed and sold for non-US markets.

I have a Philips Series EP1220 for less than a year and have had a couple of issues with the machine and all I can say is their customer service is terrible. It's been like pulling teeth getting them to help me and when I finally did there was no communication from them. They asked for proof of purchase which I sent and when I checked back with them they said I again, need to send proof of purchase. I said to the guy why would I be sending back a machine I did not buy! What if I received this as a gift? Where would I get a proof of purchase?! Finally, after many repetitious phone calls on my part I received a prepaid return label, sent the machine out two weeks ago and still have not received a confirmation email whether they even received it and if they did what the status of my case is. This machine makes good coffee but we've had issues with it as I previously stated. I would not buy another thing from Philips due to the way this was handled.

It brings in air for foaming and when blocked it will still heat the milk but will add less air and thus less foam. I line up the hole with the wand handle and then face it towards me. Joe Varacalli,
Cool video thanks for going to the trouble. Regarding doubles, you must have issues with your machine's logic controller OR there's been a software upgrade since I bought mine.
I make double's all the time. (Yes, I agree it should grind two at same time.) Process is: grind one, shot one. NO dribble of weakened water. Grind two, shot two. NO dribble of weakened water.
NOW the weakened water comes out. After both shots are safely in the cup. I've had mine for three weeks; INVARIABLY it follows this routine. I'd just contact Seattle Coffee even if you purchased yours elsewhere; those friendly folks will fill you in.
Let me chime in about the initial cups of coffee. Seattle Coffee says 2-3 shots minimum and frankly, I'm not surprised that one must waste the first couple of shots - not heard of non-commercial machines where you don't have to waste initial cups, ever. The manual says MANY, MANY MORE. Also - as disappointing as this may sound, I admire that Philips is honest in their manual. In my manual (I got mine July 2021) Philips says, do NOT adjust the espresso grind for a month! so the machine stabilizes on your local water. Sounds like the manual has been re-written since you bought yours.
I have a note for your viewers. If your tap water is terrible and you use - in my case super filtered (1 micron) under sink- or bottled water, Seattle Coffee says DO NOT use the Aquafilter. But DO add 3-4 tblspoons of tap per water basket, because the machine must repeat must, 'see 'some of the chemicals of tap to work properly which is what every brand of espresso machine also says.
Got mine for $399.00. It's far from perfect but immensely better than the Breville's and DeLonghi's I've tried. It's very close to 'real' espresso and I'm not certain anyone but an authority could identify a difference in a blind test. Six count em' six repair places from WA. state to California I called, said not to buy the Breville(s) below a certain price point (more than I want to spend). And some of those six sell and service Breville's. My Breville failed after two shots out of the box. Just as with forty other negative reviewers experienced, my Breville dribbled regardless of the grind. Starbucks for free, kindly gave me every known permutation of espresso grind and it still dribbled. Breville said "we're familiar with this issue. It's broken, please return for full refund."
    I'll watch your other videos.
