2019 was definitely one of the best years for K-pop. I’m so lucky to be a fan during that time ❤️. I’ve actually been a K-pop fan since late 2017 so it was truly iconic

2019 is imo, (with 2018) the best year of kpop. First of all, it's the year I got into kpop, so many great and popular groups debuted, and I feel like the music was better, idk how to explain but it doesn't have the "made for a TikTok trend" vibes !

2020 was the year that zico made tiktok challenge a thing in kpop that's why pre 2020 were the best releases in kpop
@@page.hikaru i remember that owo he first did it with hwasa for fun and somehow that blew up (and the app itself also blew up even more starting that year) i think because companies saw the traction that zico tiktok got they all followed suit and now with every comeback it seems like every group post "dance challenges" on tiktok even in times when the choreo is harder for the gp to follow

I feel like 2015 was a also good year with a lot of kpop hits. a lot of the third gen debuted that year. F(x) last song came out. Big bang broke the kpop community with bang bang bang. BTS started getting recognition in the west with I need U and Dope there's so many more than I could count
2015 was amazing. 3rd gen was getting into their groove. 2nd had gotten more freedom and were reasing bangers, liek joghyun’s solo debut. Twice debut + CLC+ MONSTAX AND SEVENTEEN 🤩🤩

Though I'm not as into kpop as I used to be, 2018 and 2019 kpop has a special place in my heart. This year was one of the best, so many iconic and now almost legendary songs came out that I still listen to to this day, and it was also one of the years that brought a lot of people in the fandom. It was so fun being a kpop fan back then, I kinda miss it😭
Tbh 2019 will always be a bittersweet year for me. So many great songs were released, everything was still pre-Covid, PDX and Queendom aired. But it’s also the year that my ult bg debuted only to disband 5 months later.. I wish I could look back on this year with good memories but X1’s disbandment and what could have been will always be in the back of my mind 😢😢

watching the 2017, 2018, 2019 video really makes me remember how there was literally amazing music coming out every freaking week. things are truly so different now and it sucks so bad. i blame the pandemic tbh. it ruined the flow of the hallyu wave. like it used to feel organic and now it feels so forced, like the industry wants to keep the traction so bad.

I joined kpop at the end of 2017, still here but can honestly say that was that golden era I miss so much. At first I grew up with this, the second it just felt the different way and was made with a lot of passion. I miss it so much
I remember bwl getting so much shit for being plain in 2019 and 2020 but its one of my faves and is a good song 😭
Funny thing is it is not even plain. Memorable verses, melodies, instrumental(yes, it is one of these BTS song that I can use instrumental only and still enjoy it so much), iconic raps. It is far from plain, people don't like it because it was too bright for them (especially after Idol, that's why they don't get this song, but they shouldn't say it is plain).

this is the year i got into kpop! it feels like it was the perfect time :)
I've noticed that many songs in this list had a heavy bass (at least I think it's a heavy bass, I'm no music expert) and that was really something I enjoyed. I also noticed it in the 2018 video, and I do know that during 2018-2019 future bass was really popular in kpop (it's one of my favourite music genres in edm, so that's probably why 2018-2019 were the best years in kpop for me)
I miss this era. I love seeing all the first MV's of the groups I'm deep in love with now 🥺😒 so much nostalgia

Even tho i got into kpop in late 2017, 2019 was just THAT year for me. in 2017 i had gotten into kpop a bit too late to have really experienced 2017. Then for 2018 in april i really fell in love with bts so for most of the year me & my ex best friend were OBSESSED, but i did get to experience many iconic 2018 comebacks from different groups 😌Then well 2019 was just the absolute best and i miss it so bad. It was the last year i was truly happy & i also have many happy memories with 2019 kpop songs and most of those happy memories were with ppl that don’t talk to me anymore so they’re special to me :,)

(me: being a full on multi-stan 4 years later hahaha) What was yours?
