Definitely somethin' to be said for jammin' in keys like B or F#. B and E are probably two keys that I like the least but for whatever reason, I'm kinda fond of F#. Occasionally, especially in bluegrass country, I'll get hit with songs in B so it's definitely a possibility in real life. A funny for ya... was at a bluegrass performance maybe 6 months or so ago. Band did great... except for one song, Happy Birthday. Most of it was fine, their three chords worked for most... and then they needed the fourth chord. YIKES, PANIC!! LOL!! But the last note was great! :D
