You can also use the F3 menu to see what block is under it, and if there is nothing it wouldn't show anything

For the 50/50 u could see the concrete particles under the floating ones, so the ones without the particles are on barriers

When they're doing the piston jumps it's so funny, because Parrot says he sucks at this and is the only one to complete it, yet Mont says he is an EXPERT at this and misses the first jump. I love Minecraft.

I loved watching the warden clutch for the whole video (the timeline was named warden clutch)
16:45 you could choose the good psth by looking if particles come out of the gravel
On the squid game one, you could tell which one is correct by stepping on the one without any particles falling below it. This is because when a gravel/sand block that hasn't been updated¹ yet will fall when it will be updated, it emits particles.
¹Updated means that a block that should be in a different state but isn't because any blocks around haven't been changed, removed or added. Updating is so that it doesn't cause lag as if blocks were constantly checked for updates, your game would most likely crash.

13:05 if you pay very close attention, there are particle effects under the trap ones. Therefore, you could've easily won this if you had particle effects on.

i just came to a realisation. you can literally do the final one SO easily by looking at the particles because the barriers underneath stop particles
in last challenge you could see the concrete powder particles that you see when its unsupported on platforms that fell.

I honestly dont know how in the last game they didn’t see the particles that indicated the blocks would fall. It’s the same with natural falling sand for example. You can clearly see which will fall

that wasn't a five block jump. he was in creative mode and pressed fly right before he lands. also five block jump is not possible without a constant acceleration. hope that helps 🙂
