    THANKS for your video. I am checking a base plate but i have not been able to solve this problem with anchors: "The behaviour of anchor groups is predicated on the assumption that all anchors on the group exhibit roughly the same stiffness. This is verified if the anchors are of the same type, diameter and embedment" I have the same type, diameter and embedment for each anchor so I don´t know what's wrong. I would appreciate your help. thanks!!

    is it possibile to change the coordinates of the stiffeners on the base plate? if one wants to choose himself the use the stiff plates, is there a way to define the position?

    could we analyse/design the base plate for many load combinations simultaneously or it shall be done one by one for each combination?

    • @EngineerHunter
      @EngineerHunter  Год назад

      You could only run one by one. But to make the analysis and design faster, you can remove the combinations which are not critical.

    Is it possible to design only a plate on concrete block without any profile above the plate ?

    • @EngineerHunter
      @EngineerHunter  Год назад

      You must include the steel section to design the base plate.

    Is it possible to modify concrete block sizes in an asymetrical way? Because I see only one offset, which would mean that I'm supposing a symmetrical block.
    Thanks

      It is not possible for now. Hope it is available in the new version of the software.

    Hello sir, if we use Shear force transfer to Friction, It is better to resist "Concrete Breakout Resistance". But in this case why do you mortar joint? What is different? Can you explain? Thank in advance?

    • @EngineerHunter
      @EngineerHunter  2 года назад

      Usually, we use friction to transfer shear force but in the case that it’s not enough, we can use anchor. For mortar joint in this case, we only use because of leveling the column. For more design information, you can check AISC Base Plate design guide.

    Hello good sir, is there any way to add Tubular sections? whenever I try to it only shows IPE or H sections.

    • @EngineerHunter
      @EngineerHunter  2 года назад

      You can change the section in IDEA StatiCa.

    Thanks for sharing, I tried the design of base plate, but the anchors are not calculated. Can you please explain why?

      Getting same message. How did you solve it ?

    • @aliimran767
      @aliimran767 2 года назад

      Getting this problem with Indian code. Use Euro code or Aisc.

    I am getting message "Anchors not calculated" Can you please tell why this is happening ? Thank You

    • @EngineerHunter
      @EngineerHunter  2 года назад

      There might be something wrong with your model. You can try recreate a base plate connection from scratch to test it.

      @@EngineerHunter Thanks for replying. It was an issue with Indian Code. I did the same analysis using US settings and it worked.

    How to add bolts?

    • @leoalambra1074

      Is it only applicable to 4-bolts?

    • @EngineerHunter

      You modify the plate to add more bolts.

      @@EngineerHunter Thanks for the video. If we have box type column and we would like to add more than 4 bolts but we only want to keep the bolts outside of the column what should we do? (I need 8 or 12 or 16 bolts but all of them should be outside of the box type of column.)
