The EP contains two versions of Depeche Mode’s 1983 single, including the instrumental B-Side ‘The Great Outdoors!’ plus two previously unreleased versions of ‘Now this is Fun’ (from the ‘See You’ Single 1982): a Live-version recorded in Sweden and in addition to the CDr inside above mentioned BOX-set, it also contains a new ‘The Eagle has landed’-Version of ‘Now this is Fun’, featuring the vocals of Marsheaux (while the original had James New of the Mirrors on vocals…)

Its good but needs to be more gritty, the synth is too Dx7 when it should be Juno-60..
It is a bit smooth sounding & agree a Juno would have given it that bit more hoover sound that it was well known for, but this is still good. The synthesis complements her vocal style.
With less reverb it would be much better.
Musically beautiful, but the vocals are boring
If you took the time to understand the cultural and political environment in which this DM masterpiece was composed you wouldn't make such ill-informed comments. In 1982 England was in the thick of Margaret Thatcherism with its cutting of social services and glorification of money and consumption. The lyrics are a cynical set of instructions on how to live in this cruel, everyman-for-himself world akin to the USA under Reagan at the same time. With many of his lyrics Martin Gore is playing on the cold, sarcastic nature of the world.

besides that i know about martin and i've heared about his thoughts and about the toughts other people where thinking about him.also i know this song, it is one of my favorite depeche mode songs.
lyrics, music...just the smallest soft soundeffects layed on their voices is perfect to me.
so professor doctor, now another explaination.when is say the music is beautiful i gave a compliment,
when i say the vocals are boring it is not ill-informed.it just means the vocals are boring, while...surprise the original features really awesome vocals.no past, no politics, no countries or continents or martin gore at this point.okay doctor professor, you understand now? just about the vocals, i don't like them, they sound boring to me.while you maybe get excited while hearing them, so stay happy and leave me be with your cut and dried opinions.thx
