Hi and thanks for the nice video. This is the city where I grow up and the best city in the world for me ( although I have visited many beautiful cities in EU ). I wish you and all visitors of Vlora a pleasant stay there.
I am so glad you posted this. It gave me a way to show family in the States how safe I am. I live about 3 minutes walk from the Donner and pet shop. One thing that really helped me was your walk to Old Town. I walked straight to the Memorial park, and the big ugly building behind your visit to the pretty part of Old Town blocked my view. I bought some yummy burek from the same lady you did, but I did not realize how much I missed because it was blocked out by construction. I will take a trek to the cute, colorful part of Old Town. Thanks!
Same reason were here, it's safe it is cheap the people are awesome and when the long haul international airport is complete in 2025 it's going to explode. 9 hours from JFK 3 hours from london
Hey! I'm from Denver. I just got here 2 weeks ago. Will be here for at least 3 months. It is a beautiful city. I live just around the corner from the donner shop you went to. 😁
@@will-rose Yes, I do. I actually live by the Sophie in the area of boulevard with all the shops. Right by Passagio. Got any tips? I have been travelling for about a year and a half, so I haven't done as much exploring here yet. I've been taking a breather to recoup a bit. I think this is a great landing spot and decided I will stay here 6 months.
One of the best videos I've seen in a long time. Thank you. I'm going to vlora by myself next week and although I'm excited you've managed to stop me feeling so nervous about it 😊
This is probably the most in depth video I’ve seen about Vlore. I love the walk around tour as opposed to just high lighting only the popular spots. My family are traveling to Albania and Vlore is high on our list to visit. I’m just curious what this place is like in winter. I enjoyed this a lot plus both of your energy are infectious 😊.
Thank you very much for your wonderful comment. We have not spent a winter here but I think we’re going to winter in Vlore this year so we will make videos about it then. But we do know the Airbnb‘s are quite inexpensive we’re looking at an Airbnb that during the season is $1400 a month and we’re going to pay 350 USD a month. thank you again for your comment hope you enjoy your visit here.
its mild weather and quite we have been here 3 years, people are great, prices are cheap. don't stay at the Yacht overpriced. and the wrong end for winter time.
Excellent way to get a video walk. I live just a few minutes walk from the cool part of Old Town. They showed me something I missed. It is easy to walk by the construction part of Old Town to the park and think, "Meh." I missed a part.
What I like about your walking videos is you have someone filming from behind you, capturing what you two are seeing, then it stops on some commentary, then more walking behind you. It is a bit like having someone show us where to go. A lot of tours are just someone with a GoPro in their own face, showing us their own face, babbling about their own like in that spot, not showing us the city, and then showing us whatever they think looks cool. It is nice to see you take a route through major parts of the city, speed up when it is just walking parts, and also slow down on the parts you like. That Doner near me (in your video) is super nommable, and the byrek from the lady in Old Town is unbeatable.
Thank you much for your very lovely comment. We’re in Sarande now and we’re making videos down here. I hope you have a nice Independence Day in Vlore. Vlore should have a very large celebration. Thank you again for your comments I’m glad our videos helped you find yummy food.

@@jamesyancy907 Hi thank you for the information. Is there any particular bank in USA that will lend to Americans investing overseas in real estate or other form of investment ? Can you recommend a reputable real estate agent? We have been looking online for properties but not sure what is real or who to connect with, we really appreciate any advise you can give. Is there an expat forum you can recommend? We have so many questions and do not want to over burden you. Thanks again!
@@centraleVL As for American banks you would need speak to as far as I'm aware you would need a good sized down payment, realtors century 21 or remax as it realtors are not licensed, the notary is the most important part of buying realestate as they are government licensed. I lived in NYC, and prefer Albania 100x over. It’s cleaner by far, the food is by default organic, the people are super friendly, the spring weather is fabulous, and it smells like clean sea on the coast, and mountain air inland. The only thing NYC has over Tirana is the organization of public transportation and ease with which you can get “stuff” - Apple Store, donuts at 3am, and if you have money, fine arts. But for actual living, this part of the world rocks, especially if you can do remote work - 200Mb internet for $10 a month in some places. City buses are a maze, but only 40 cents, and are clean, and no crazies to deal with.
