Judas was one of the last shows I saw before Covid hit. Suffice to say they sounded nothing like this. No Glenn, no KK. An incoherent metal mosh of Judas covers is what it was.
None of the clarity and nuance and subtlety of the original band. I loved it because I was drunk. But it was not the blazing Marshall stacks of Judas Priest from these days.

The boys were on fire that night. November 21, 1981 at the London Hammersmithodean if setlistdotfm is correct. I taped that on cassette from a radio broadcast back in the day and it's still one of the best JP bootlegs from the bootleg era. Right at the very end of the 'classic' JP era, IMHO.

This was the first concert I went to during there Point of Entry Tour. 1981 Fresno Selland Arena. I don't remember who was the opening band. I think that Iron Maiden had opened up for Judas Priest during this tour. I think that they only played half the shows. I don't know why.

IMHO..this is the greatest Priest song of all..and there are so many that could take that honor

@@herbyverstink for mine, breaking the law is number one, and then it's a tie between the ripper and the sentinel (I usually give the sentinel 2nd, but I honestly can't split them). But this kicks arse. Sad wings is one of their best albums, second only to British steel IMHO
