I think they only look at money 1 dimensionally. They think of the immediate cost of an activity such as partying which might be the entry fee and drinks - and this does not seem like much - but not the opportunity cost of what payout they would recieve if the time was better spent.

My parents did not help me in any way with sexuality. They opressed me because I cried for the sake of the Lord. They forced me 4/5 years under therapy. Without taking antipsychotics for a month or two I am much better. I was such a good person, when my parents started atacking me. And even when I was 21, I said, I will do part time uni, I want to marry even religios doctos said no. Now I am 24 without Bachelor crying over my first love with 16.
