When I was young, my parents gave me one of the pieces to the Precious Moments train each year for my birthday. Then, as a teenager, we had an earthquake or a heavy train went by (not sure which) and the entire train fell off it's shelf and many of them were broken into tiny pieces. My dad super glued them all together. A few are missing little slivers, but it's so special because my dad spent so much time fixing it for me. Your story of your dad reminded me of that sacrificial act of love, and now I'm crying writing this. 😭 Thank you!

My husband has never said a baby is cute outside of our own. He walked by as I was watching this and saw William and said. “Wow. That’s a cute baby” I couldn’t believe my ears! Haha. That’s how YOU KNOW William is so cute!
Beautiful dolls house furniture Delilah, it's so satisfying isn't it, to make something 'new' again - especially for Christmas. One year, so many go...we had found the cutest dolls crib for our daughter. I set about buying fabric and made sheets, pillows and a couple of quilted throws with edgings. Alas, we couldn't afford new doll/s - but she had an adorable set of 'twins' that I hid away (she had another so didn't miss them) I spent a fair bit of time knitting a whole ensemble of clothes in boy & girl sets - so much work!! I was still sewing up and finishing at 1am on Christmas morning - then wrapped them up. She was absolutely delighted - and truly thought she had been left brand new twin dollies from Father Christmas. Treasured memories 🙂

It’s so nice and motivating watching another busy mom this season.
It's funny that I'm watching this get it all done video right now because I just had the most productive time during my son's nap and put RUclips on to relax. So unfortunately I can't give you credit for motivating me, but I got a lot done today 😂. Also, the salt dough ornaments are such sweet keepsakes. I decorated mine. The hands are hedgehogs (which did not turn out well 😂) and the feet are snowmen (which are ADORABLE). We'll see what I come up with next year for my daughter's first Christmas out of the womb. This year, I'm doing the grabbing the ornament snowmen with my son and I'm very nervous for how they'll turn out. I will definitely be having my husband help me 😂

Hand print:
2cups flour
1cup salt
3/4 cup water
250f for 2-3hrs
Be extra careful with salt dough, if it gets wet it warps and disintegrates … lots of my ornaments got ruined nothing as precious as baby imprints thankfully
