In retrospect, the moment Gordon put all that stuff on Isaac's face and dressed him up as Mr Potato head, Isaac immediately told Primary "they are exactly like the builders".
Only taking a leg as a response was great restraint on Isaac's part.

One thing I've noticed about The Orville is that the characters all seem to groove to music from THIS century. Every song you hear and every performance you enjoy features music from the 20th and 21st Centuries. Which makes me wonder: did ALL the music from the 22nd, 23rd, 24th and 25th Centuries suck THAT badly? Was there even music written and performed in those centuries?

That's a good point. I have thought the same thing. It would be great to hear some 24th century style compositions. I was exited when I heard the dramatic Berlioz piece on Star Trek: First Contact and thought it was a 24th century composition, only to realize that it wasn't.
I notice that too and felt like it's perhaps, and I know there's holes. in this theory, but because it's from the time when music (same with film!) were becoming popular in a way where they could be recorded and shared throughout society with greater ease and so it holds some significance that way, in Earth's history, to them.
That said id LOVE to hear some future (for us) music and see some 'simulation movies' similar to how in present day we can view Virtual Reality experiences.and 'films'/ shorts and VRnimations= )
It's not just the music. They have numerous cultural references to the 20th and 21st centuries in the show even though they label our era as the dark times. XD

Yes, Scott Grimes and Seth McFarlane are both accomplished singers. Mcfarlane has 5 jazz albums and Grimes is also a voice actor. He’s also married to a former supermodel Adrianne Padelicki.
