Finally finished this video about all the god-like entities of the Digimon universes, it turned out to be the longest video we have ever made so far. First thing first, it's known that all of our lore contents are basically trying to visualize the texts from different sources, especially Wikimon. The following are the sources that we often made reference to. digimon.net/ wikimon.net/ digimon.fandom.com/ dic.pixiv.net/ However, this time around, we could not get adequate information about the god-like entities of the Digimon universes from the aforementioned sites. Thankfully, there is Ravel Monte, the amazing lore keeper of the Digimon franchise. twitter.com/RavelMonte We appreciate his efforts on writing articles and archiving all those information about Digimon that barely available elsewhere, which much of the script of this video is based on. Still, this video mixed up information from many different sources, hopefully after all the endeavors, we manage to make it coherent. Also, this video is one of the few that included quite a lot of our opinions and speculations, on some god-like entities, we tried to present them objectively and appropriately. In the end of the video, aside from discerning who is the definitive Digimon's God, we also theorized about the human Digimon's God which we don't really think that would be the case for real, because the elements involved can be non-canonical to each other, and at the rate of how the mainstream Digimon setting is going, the existence of human Digimon's God can be contradictory, but still it was fun connecting things. Lastly, after making this video, we think that it would be intriguing and will want to make a video that visualize the timelines of the Digimon multiverses, but it's likely to be as exhausting as this one, so we will reserve that for later time, same goes for our plan on the video about the Digital Lifeforms (like the D-Reaper, Eater, Eraser, Vitium, Chronocore, etc). Meanwhile, we will most likely work on remaking, remastering the lore contents on the Digimon groups, as there are a lot of new assets, info, and visuals we procured in the process of making videos that we will want to update the lore contents with, and to actually cover all the Digimon groups this time, like our evolution line contents. Stay tuned for more to come. And thank you for stopping by.
Grate job. It took me few rewatch to get it all. I love the fave you hit the real world lore as well as what the digimon goes by. I can tell it took a lot of work and research, thank you for your passion on a franchise that dosent get much these days. Hope to see more.
Basically a one hour video on explaining Digimon's God, and it ends without a clear answer who exactly God is. I love that lol But yeah all these entities and programs really makes it murky on who or what God is. Perhaps we were never meant to know
From all the info available now, we believe that the System, specifically Yggdrasill, is meant to be the definitive Digimon's God. But the not up-to-date ambiguous Digimon profile does make us think that the "possibly" human Digimon's God still perhaps have a place of being God.
Another thing worth mentioning is that Eniac/Atanasoff being the "canonical gods" of both Adventure's and Tamers's continuities is contradictory to what Kakudou and Konaka wanted for their respective series, neither of them were involved in the making of the Wonderswan games either. Hiroyuki Kakudou intended for the digimon from Adventure, to actually be beings from another universe that have existed long before computers and the internet, and were first thought to be spirits or yokai, it wasn't until the invention of computers that the connection to their universe became more successful. And Konaka was opposed to the inclusion of Ryo Akiyama.
Glad that you enjoyed it. From all the info available so far, we believe that the System, specifically Yggdrasill, is meant to be the definitive Digimon's God. But the not up-to-date ambiguous Digimon profile does make us think that the "possibly" human Digimon's God still have a place of being God.
Well as you said, it's all very confusing considering the different iterations of Digimon through the hole franchise....so it's hard to consider something as "canon for everything"; you could say that since Bandai is the one that originally developed it (alongside WiZ of course), then Yggdrasill being the one true God could be the "most canon", but the thing is that Bandai themselves have made references to other digimon products like the animes and mangas into some digimon's profiles sooooo...... Also, in TRI the protagonist react to Homeostasis like it was the first time they had encountered it, and the fact that they call Yggdrasill "the source of evil" which is absolutely wrong unless this Yggdrasill was being possessed by someone like Barbamon did in Digimon Next, and no Yggdrasill being antagonistic in other media doesn't make him evil "antagonist" and "villain" are 2 different concepts.
I’m mean, in tri it tries to wipe out humanity for no real reason And even beyond tri, given its tendency to resort to mass genocide to any issue, throwing away the lives of its servernts, and it valuing its own protection above all else, it’s not hard to see it as evil, or at least a very bad thing
Yggdrasill being the god of the conventional Digital World is confirmed since 2020 with Chronicle X where it's confirmed that he is the God Lucemon rebelled against.
Well great video really wanted to everything about the digital world and it’s gods since I started watching Digimon in my youth thanks for this video can’t wait to see what other Amazing videos or extended videos you will release keep up with the great content 😁👍🏾
Coming up next is the BAN-TYO, followed by the D-Brigade, and then the Crack Team, a Digimon group that has to do with the human hackers, it will probably be our next culminated video to be done, in the video, we will also likely cover about human researchers, the "Digimon Research Laboratory", also known as the "DigiLab", the research organization run by mostly humans that specialize in studying and profiling Digimon and the Digital World, and up to a certain extent, has to do with the creation of Digimon and is the "in-universe" group behind the development of the many "Digimon Loaders", what we know as the "Digital Monster" Virtual Pet devices. The DigiLab is one of the prerequisites to what we will be piecing together when we make the video visualizing the Digimon null canon, and the timeline of the multiverses.
If I remember correctly. It was a noble game. Using cards of different types of attributes like light, dark ect. But sadly it was shit down years ago. It was a very fun game. It focused on the Olympus 12 leader Jupitermon.
God and Yggdrasil aren't the same being you can think of Yggdrasil as being Gods personal computer that was left running to manage things after it moved to the Kernal aka Heaven. There would be no need for the Three Great Angels to protect the Kernal if they we're the same because the Royal Knights protect Yggdrasil.
We thought the same back then, we also once viewed God and Yggdrasill being different Gods, but, as stated in the conclusion of the video, it doesn't seem to be the case after all with what were indicated in the Digimon Xros Wars manga and the Digimon Chronicle X novel. Perhaps the Engineer who built the Digital World was the first one who ever hold the role as God, but it seems like the current official consensus is that God is a role predominantly hold by Yggdrasill, sometimes Homeostasis.
@@DigimonologyThe Seven Great Demon Lords know who Yggdrasil is and Demon is not the type to put anyone above him, he was also said to be a Seraphimon at one point so he and Lucemon would have also been the closest to God yet he never actually refers to Yggdrasil as God. What's more Demons profile also says that he wants revenge Against the being of good referring to the creator of the Digital World who is sometimes refer to or shown looking Human, the Only example of Yggdrasil ever doing so is with Mikihara Norn who split it's consciousness. Yet NEO is said to be a being beyond Yggdrasil meaning it was created by someone/something and we know it is not the System itself because Host Computers purpose is to manage the system, Homeostasis is also said to be the Security System of the Digital World that keeps the balance between Good and Evil it wasn't until it merged with a fragment of Yggdrasil that it apparently gained consciousness. It's also never shown that Angel Digimon specifically Revere Yggdrasil the way they do God and the Royal Knights are never shown serving in Heaven with the Angels. There is also Homeros who is Yggdrasils apparent equal, Yggdrasil is incapable of creating another Host Computer.
Hey, just discovered this DigiChannel and am highly interested. Been binge-watching the lore vids. Just one question. What's the music in the background of this one? I wanna listen to it in my off-time too as well.
While you did a amazing job with this video and breaking down all the candidates, I don't agree with conclusion that Yggdrasill is the God. Due to not sharing the personality God is described to have, being shut down by even higher powers, Bagramon's base description from the Digimon Reference Book (thus not colored by a continuity) considering the two to be separate, (thus the use of Homeostasis instead of Yggdrasil being the one to receive Bagramon's questions in Xros Wars) Yggdrasil commanding the angels being conjecture, as the Great Angels are not shown to hang around Yggdrasil unlike the Royal Knights and since they both protect the Digital World God's army and the Royal Knights would be natural allies with or without Yggdrasil's influence and finally the different intentions that go into each continuity (for instance Hiroyuki Kakudou intended for the digimon from Adventure to not being digital beings created by humans, instead existing long before the rise of computers, something Survive also does with it's lore) and thus one that is true in one, not being true for another.
Yggdrasill being the God of the conventional Digital World is all but confirmed by Chronicle X where he's called over and over "god", "the system" "the world tree" and is confirmed that he is the one Lucemon rebelled against when he refused to erase the fighting instinct from the Digicores of the Digimon. Homeostasis is supposed to be bellow Yggdrasill she only could shut him down because Yggdrasill was weakened. The Archangels are shown in Chronicle-X descending from the Kernel as Yggdrasill's servants.
It's a good concept. There's likely a reason behind this. It's possible that God (Yggdrasill) chose to do so, after the lesson learnt from creating the overpowered Lucemon, thus it separated Lucemon's aspects (originally Yggdrasill's) into the Three Great Angels, so that no one Digimon is overpowered. However, seeing that God's Army, the Angel Digimon tend to succumb to the darkness, wickedness, the liability of that trait, that's possibly why Yggdrasill recruited and preferred the Royal Knights to do its bidding instead.
Considering that Lucemon actually managed to seal Huanglongmon after defeating him, yeah Lucemon is extremely overpowered. Since Lucemon showed that even someone as "perfect" as him could fall into corruption, it makes sense that steps would be made to take away much of his power And to hammer in the point, it's VERY likely that it was the Rookie/Child form of Lucemon who did all that, as Falldown Mode, and Satan Mode would be forms that came in later. Despite his level, it still took the Warrior Ten, a group of primordial digimon whose power eclipsed that of modern ultimates/megas to defeat him. And even then only AncientGarurumon and AncientGreymon were the only survivors, as the rest of the eight perished in the battle
@yymenghis64 Yeah I know. But it's still really telling just how powerful Lucemon was back in the day, as the Warrior ten were no ordinary Ultimates/Megas as their data came from Digital World itself or something like that, and only two of them survived against Lucemon
@@Pridam It was actually revealed by Rearise that Lucemon Falldown Mode battled the ancient Warrior Ten. Also Lucemon only sealed Huanglongmon. Hax doesn't denote the power difference between two beings.
I'm curious to know what the outline is that appears behind Calumon when it uses it's "Shining Digivolution" attack/skill in Tamers? If anyone knows & sees this comment on a 3 year old video, I'd really appreciate it lol.
Digi-Entelechia, world dusk and dawn's antagonist covers what would happen if rougue program got a hold of it, essentially what the 4 holy beasts contended over why its so crucial to retrieve Calumon sparking the Deva arc of Digimon Tamers. It's still a mystery, but this game presents you a program that does get a hold of it and it easily regressed Megas into eggs at the intro of the game. It was also key to arriving to the Digital world theoretical strongest digimon Chronomon. It's still a mystery but it's implicated to be the Digimon's limitless capacity for evolution made manifest in the form of Calumon. We see this in game by taking the already final stage mega digimon of the two faction's leaders partners team Dawn and team Dusk, Ophanimon and Chaos Gallentmon, respectively. And further elevating them to the unique, Chaos Gallentmon C and Ophanimon C. If that wasn't enough it also gave the entity the capacity exert its will upon both the tamers and respective digimon in large scales belonging to both parties. But to summarize it can: -manipulate evolution of a digimon via regression or ascending past its limitation -mass digivolition as the light of evolution -a path way to the theoritcal strongest Digimon Chronomon
Maybe the relationship of the human God and digital God - namely, Yggdrasil - could be similar to Gnostic beliefs. In Gnosticism, the world is created and ruled by a lesser creator-god, the Demiurge, who people falsely worship as the ultimate start point of existence. In reality, there is a God beyond, not a being but The Being, existence itself: this gave birth to the Demiurge. Maybe human(s) created the Digital world at first, but it was more akin to a cosmic void... In the void, primordial beings stirred and a program emerged (or achieved self-consciousness) and thus Yggdrasil was born. It then made the Digital World as we know of, something out of what was previously just empty nothingness.
No. The Digital World is only a human creation in V-Tamers 01 and its Physical Layer in Tamers. In all other media including Adventure it already existed before the human world. And Demiurge & Yggdrasill are two different beings. Most likely what would later become Yggdrasill created the Demiurge who proceeded to use "Idea" the primordial and chaotic Digital World to create the Physical World.
Pokemon: Yeah we have the white Horse with the Fence around it, its the supreme God that created everything. Pretty strong right? It can blast entire Mountains Digimon: So what flavour of God should it be today? Country Level Thread? PLanet Level Thread? Or should we just have a indepth talk about the social unjustice in the world the lead on of Gods Angels to defect from him?
Given this information it is likely that god with a lowercase g is whoever becomes the administrator or host computer of the system of the digital world itself. That system as well as the various host computers were created by humans and are by nature man made and earthly as opposed to being divine. This includes Yggdrasil as it is most likely derived from Yggdrasil Linux which is a software compilation developed and released in 1992 with the goal of being a computer without the hardware. Thus "god" for the digital world is not actually God but the system of the digital world itself and whoever hosts and administers that system has changed and passed through a variety of different hands and hosts.
They were not created by humans even in the V-Pets setting. Digimon were initially viruses with artificial intelligence that spawned one day out of nowhere in the Network to wich hackers attached a wireframe. The Net Ocean(the name of the Digital World at that time) was found on the supercomputer whose OS was called Yggdrasill. Amd no, do not think of this supercomputer as a normal one. It had enough processing power to process the Digital World and all the Digimon from 1997 until 2003 when it reached its limit. Knowing how even an Adult Digimon has data rivalling the size of a galaxy that's damn impressive. After Project Ark Yggdrasill was released in the Network becoming aware of Digital Worlds hosted by different Host Computers and by hosting the Digital World via cloud tehnology gained infinite processing power. You are actually right for once. God is the "System" and the "Host Computer" not a human that created the Digital World. And that's Yggdrasill for the "conventional" Digital World, Homeros for Illiad and a 3rd comparable Host Computer for the 3rd Digital World(Habu stated that there are 3 servers, Witchelny simply being a Digital World of another dimension/layer.). What humans did is attach a Wireframe to these ''viruses with artificial intelligence" and since the Net Ocean was simply an amalgamation of data that was incomprehensible for humans and they were unable to interact with it they created a program that translated the Digital World into something that humans could understand. Digimon Capture,Digimon Loader and Digital Monster are devices created for that. Also they created isolated spaces like File Island in order to study the Digimon. So yes you could say that they "created" them in a sense. And we have official statements that even with this Digimon could not come to the Human World and that the only thing you can do with a PC is see the Digimon and the Digital World rendered on your screen but nothing more.
Perhaps, someday, that will probably happen after/if we ever managed to make the content(s) that lists all the Appmon, which is our plan for the future.
What Yggdrasil did by not accepting what Lucemon proposed was the right thing to do. A species only gets stronger and is confirmed its survival through natural selection. The weak perish while the strong and most adapted to their surroundings live and prosper. That's what guarantees a species survival.Without natural selection the species would overrun its habitat, consume all its resources and the weak and less adapted individuals would drag the species with them to extinction.
so persopnal opinion their is no diginin god in the traditional sense. humans created digimon programs that were given life and a world by the world with the power to make dreams come true and the dark ocean, from digimon adventure 02.
Different Digimon media have different settings as interpretations differ from creator to creator. But still, they can be categorized into two main settings, for one, also the original setting, as in the null canon (a term used by the fandom to describe the canon originated with the Digimon V-Pets, Digimon Reference Book, Digimon Profile and related media) is that humans have to do with the creation of the Digimon and the Digital World. Another one, the fantasy setting, which originated from the anime, pioneered by Digimon Adventure, is as you pointed out, the many worlds, including the Digital World, arose from the Quantized World (or Quantum Sea, or better known as the Dark Ocean) and the power of dream, and that the Digimon are creatures like spirits, apparitions, that have existed from ancient times, they were not born as a result of humans creating computers, but becoming visible to humans once they created computers and digital technology.
@@Digimonology in which I say the second one is a load of junk and aspects of it folds into the prior one with humans unintentionally instilling the power to realize dreams and the quantum sea literally being the quantum level.

But to summarize it can:
-manipulate evolution of a digimon via regression or ascending past its limitation
-mass digivolition as the light of evolution
-a path way to the theoritcal strongest Digimon Chronomon

It can blast entire Mountains
Digimon: So what flavour of God should it be today?
And we have official statements that even with this Digimon could not come to the Human World and that the only thing you can do with a PC is see the Digimon and the Digital World rendered on your screen but nothing more.
cyber-warfare is just governments having digimon battles, change my mind
Where do they get this footage? What digimon anime is this?
What part of the video?
There so much footage used here.
Are you going to do a video on Gaiamon?
Perhaps, someday, that will probably happen after/if we ever managed to make the content(s) that lists all the Appmon, which is our plan for the future.

God is Bandai and the team of writers lol
So some of the evil digimon were sent down to hell for trying to free digimon of their senseless fighting and being killed by humans
Those Angel Digimon were, in a sense, noble, only to fall from grace.
I wish there was more explanation. Like it could be population control, or to give Digimon purpose. But no.
Is it too late to watch digimon?
It's never too late to watch Digimon.
Digimon is lokey thee only anime that uses GOD and Angels instead of demons ..i mean dbs too
so persopnal opinion their is no diginin god in the traditional sense. humans created digimon programs that were given life and a world by the world with the power to make dreams come true and the dark ocean, from digimon adventure 02.
