For 5 years I was using mobile data as my primary source limited to 50 gb it just means you have to use the lowest quality RUclips 144 settings to make it last the month, I can get 7 hours of video for about one gb
Best resource for Starlink news! The new Mini Roam plan seems like a good fit for those who only need it a few times per month. Either way, glad Starlink came to their senses and included the mini with stand-alone plans. Now if only I could use the Mini Roam with our gen 2 dish 🤔
Sorry this is so late, but I just watch your older video (2 yrs ago). With all the updates and upgrades, can you now active the roam plan without an alternative internet service, or is that still an issue?
There are restrictions and limitations with the mini, we were part of the limited group and are still waiting to receive it, they have an issues with supply, as always with everything starlink.
@@michaelrambo4886 not any more. As I said in this video, it is now widely available to everyone in these 5 countries. And I've owned 3 dishes over 2.5 years. Starlink has produced 5 variations of dishy in that time and production really has not been a problem for them at all. They made over a million dishes in the first year and are now well into the multiples of millions produced. It's pretty safe to say manufacturing is not a shortcoming for them.
@@freelyroaming if thats the case why did starlink customer service tell me that they are trying to resolve the mini dish demand, and are sorry for the delay, that is now a month over due. And we were on the first list of invention orders. Sorry but starlink has always been slow at manufacturing and delivery. At least in the US, maybe it’s different in other countries.
You have to know what they tell you isn't always the truth. It's what they need to say to appease you for the moment. If you are the type to take things at face value then there's nothing anyone can tell you to convince you otherwise. The truth is, in 4 Latin American countries where they have been available to order, they delivered between 2 to 4 weeks with no delays. And as of last week, the same goes for anyone in the US. I've already given you the number on how quickly they have been able to manufacture all version of their dishes. If you have a personal, anecdotal experience to the contrary, it does not negate the fact they they've produced large numbers of units and shipped in record time. From when the first dish was delivered in June 2022, it only took them 3 months to manufacture 1 million units. Does that sound like production issues to you?

Yes definitely. 50GB is enough for 1 or 2 people if you don't treat it like unlimited home internet.

Thanks for the update!
You bet!

Yes you can. And there has been more updates to the mini lately with regards to availability.
@@freelyroaming Wonderful...Elon must watch your channel :)
My nephew showed up this week with one of those. Looks like a pretty nice dish, but the price?! (He works for space-x.)
Yeah the price is a lot. You have to really want one or work at SpaceX 😆
Need a quick pros and cons. A lot of info to swim through there.

Residential can be cancelled and reactivated on demand... I do it.
Only if there is capacity at your address.
So… Is it worth it or what ?
