What is this rock critic elitist shit about Big Brother & The Holding Company being a terrible second rate band???
I tyhink it goes like this:
1. I don't like this style/What the heck IS this style?" Is this even music?
2. Therefore I don't like this band.
3. Therefore they suck.
Yes... this particular one isnt their best by any means. I was in garage bands that sounded better. However, Big Brother was an *Excellent* band if you listen to their first 2 albums "Big Brother and the Holding Co" and "Cheap Thrills"
Dont let this one performance be your only impression of this band. This was one of their only songs without Janis, by the way, and it made a huge difference how the band sounded when she sang!
@Rod Mcdonough no, they recorded 2 LPs without Janis. So this is not the only song.
