    I've just bought P2 Pro for about one month, it impressed me a lot. It's so convenient that it is widely applicable to scenarios such as appliances and electronics and building HVAC.

    This P2pro is much better than so many other cell phone thermal imaging cameras on the market. But it is too low-profile. There are not many videos of relevant reviews that can be found online. Thank you for making such a great video!

    I like the new camera's coming out with both visible and IR in the same lens, but I am surprised there's no setting to change the overlay percentage between visible and IR. There is supposed to be a "fusion mode" that gives an outline of the physical / visible objects in view, and it also has no parallax error when close, which is a failing in older 2 sensor/lens models. It seems this new version is popping up under different brands, as usual, but seeing that I only have an older android phone without USB-C I will have to wait a bit to spring for one. Thanks for sharing the info!

    @ 16:55 - My TC1 does the same thing, it has a draw when it's shut off and discharges within a few days. I fixed the issue by putting it on a charger with a timer that gives it a 20 minute charge every day, and I also upgraded the battery to about double the capacity, but the next step would be to install a switch inline with battery power.

    Looks great Manuel. I just picked up a handheld thermal imager that does pretty much the same thing as yours based on the review of another YT channel I look at often. The sale price is about the same, but mine has its own built-in screen. Handy when making videos as I don't have to plug it into my camera phone or a second cellphone to use it -- I just turn it on and aim it at the circuit. I really like your macro lens, though. Will have to see if I can add something like that to mine.

    Thank you for the show and tell review. I purchased an infrared camera with the same resolution but a handheld model . I'm a little disappointed in the screen size and the jerky video resolution and am amazed at the frame rate this little camera has. I have read the 20 or so reviews on Amazon, which include the Android version and many have concerns on the app, one even worrisome privacy policy concern! Have you had any software issues in your testing?

    • @electronicsoldandnew
      @electronicsoldandnew  Год назад +1

      No, not at all. It has worked perfectly over the three weeks of use.

    Seems to be quite a good device, especially considering the size and price.
    I wonder if you could adjust the bias balance of a push-pull tube amp output stage tubes just by using a thermal cam image. 😁

    • @electronicsoldandnew
      @electronicsoldandnew  Год назад

      Not sure that would be possible as one would have to assume that the same current will have exactly the same heat transfer, which may not be the case with different tubes, on tube sockets that may have different dissipation, etc.

    • @jutukka
      @jutukka Год назад

      @@electronicsoldandnew I have tested to check output tube balance using IR thermometer and at least a well balanced output tubes seem to give very similar temperatures.

    Nice review, Manuel, thanks. One question... Is there any option on this Lightning connector version to connect to anything else, like a PC, for instance? The reason I ask is that I gather that the EU is demanding that all phones be equipped with USB C, so I could see Apple ditching the lightning connector. Given the average longevity of a phone, this might be an issue.

    • @electronicsoldandnew
      @electronicsoldandnew  Год назад

      They have both lightening and USB-C versions, but don’t know of any connection to a PC at all.
