Please check out Fidd, a high ELO Fiddlesticks main: www.twitch.tv/fidd He helped me realise that the Red + Krugs double clear was something that was doable, so without him, this video would not have been possible.
It's something experimental. It actually does more overall damage throughout the game compared to both Electrocute and Dark Harvest. The reason being is that you can proc it 2, 3, or even sometimes 4 times in one combo. This is because every tick of damage from your DoT R and W reduces Comet's cooldown by 5% of it's remaining cooldown. This makes Comet an AoE monster, and it usually lands due to your Q fear, E slow, and Rylai's should you choose to get that item. However, it's situational. If you want more single target guaranteed burst on a slippery target (think Vayne) and you need to assassinate that one target that game (and there aren't any assassins on your team), Electrocute is great for that. Dark Harvest is great if you're going for a gank-heavy playstyle that will rack up those stacks early. But Comet is the best all-round option, in my opinion.
Since the raptors spawn in at the same time as red is it more efficient to do this clear rather than getting a leash, or would a leash allow this clear to be done quicker?
If someone leashes you, they'd need to hit a few autos on Red while you double clear. This would allow you to focus down the big Raptor with your basic attacks and kill it sooner, and start dragging Red buff over to Krugs sooner as well. You need to make sure your teammates do not lower Red buff's patience at all though by making it switch targets and attack them. Overall though, I would say a leash is not necessary, since you don't gain a lot out of it. You don't get to Scuttle any sooner because you can already full clear before it spawns, and you aren't any healthier because you're already full health. Only thing you'd gain is like a 5 second faster level 4 gank I suppose.
I think you can save about a second on small kruggs. One damage instance from your drain is enough as it will proc talisman and kill them right? I do something similar on amumu, one tick of w then walk away. Drain should be up for the next camp since you walk from kruggs to wolves.
So yes, I did try that. The reason I didn't actually do that in the full clear is because leashing the Krugs to the left, rather than to the right, is more risky for them to reset. It's a lot safer to use up maybe half of a second to ensure they do not reset. Good eye though, you remembered the tech from the first clear, haha.
You need to cast a movement command or a basic attack right after your W finishes channeling, otherwise Fiddlesticks will spend a long time doing an animation where he crosses his arms and does nothing. Try it in the practice tool and you'll see what I mean. Let me know if you're still confused after trying it out.
I'm gonna let you figure that out very quickly by watching the first 10 seconds of both videos. Just go to the Fiddlesticks playlist in the description and you'll see both the clear videos there. :) Trust me, you'll see it very quickly.
He's in the top 5 or top 3 I think. Olaf and Karthus I think are the only people who can match or beat his speed. But Fiddle does it much healthier than both of them.
It would be way slower, but you could still do it, yeah. I you can choose to gank at level 3 if you want to level Q instead. If you do the level 3 gank route, I recommend going to my playlist and checking out the wolf start clear, as you can hit level 3 in 34 seconds.
I tried Krug start and it was slower. People have mentioned that I should try the blast cone behind the wall near Red though, which I didn't think of, but I might try. But besides that, this was genuinely the fastest clear I could achieve. And it's plenty fast, yeah you do have to walk from Krugs to Wolves, but it's not THAT much further away, especially since I drag them up a bit. Starting Krugs makes you take like 12 extra seconds longer than this clear roughly. If you can make it shorter though, please by all means record it and put it on Reddit.com/r/ClearFrontier and I will make a video on it and give you credit.
OK, I just tested the blast cone behind the wall, and it takes the exact same amount of time to run from the outer wall of Krugs to mid lane: 9 seconds on both routes.
It won't, I actually showed me cutting away to the differences between having my Runes and not having them. The only essential Runes I'd say are double Adaptive Force, but if you want to be spicy and try scaling CDR, you might have to throw in a couple extra basic attacks here and there.
If you see my pinned comment, Fidd (www.twitch.tv/fidd) found out that you could do the Red + Krugs clear. However, in the Wolf-start clear, it's not worth it to do it, as the setup requires you to keep both Raptors and Red at full patience, and it takes so long that by that point, you should just do it like I do in my other video. However, I found out that it's far more viable to do the high-monster-patience strategy on this side of the map. And I just experimented with a bunch of routes for several hours until I found the fastest one. It's hard work! Haha
I gave you the only Runes that matter for the clear, both optional and essential. As far as other Runes, pick them based on situation. I like running Comet and Ultimate Hunter, personally. Thinking of making a guide on Fiddle Runes soon.

no because you have to already wait for scuttle to spawn
