i use to have that same combo but the VCR stop working and the DVD still work but i through it out by a busted up CRT TV now i have a Panasonic burner.

No! It's bad Because the VCR Side is mono and dvd Side is stereo. Plus, Funai VCRS Can Eat Your Tapes! We All Know this!
