Love this "Harkat Mai Barkat" (blessing in movement). Definitely the immigrant attitude and the teaching of our faith.

A muslim faith website or a christian dating website or whatever faith seems very discriminatory to me. Imagine casting someone aside because they don’t have the same faith as you. That’s incredibly messed up..

There’s lots of general websites available for people to use. This is a niche website for a specific set of people who are looking for partners that have the same belief/faith system as them.
It’s not incredibly messed up at all.
That’s like calling steak houses discriminatory because they don’t cater to vegans.

@@NoRiskNoRizq except theres no creed and list of doctrines and texts based on faith instructing and compelling people to do so.
The restaurant analogy is a false equivalency and makes no sense. By that logic I would be disappointed if I didn’t find a lawnmower to buy in a restaurant. Selling different products isn’t demanding people to conform and doesn’t result in the seller viewing them as lesser people lol. Nothing to do with how humans interact with and value each other.
Ive been in two relationships where one was an evangelist christian and the other a moderately liberal muslim. The christian said to me “i wish you were christian” and never mentioned me to her parents which made me feel pretty awful. The second really wanted to stand by me but was very scared about what her parents would think and always had panic attacks. There was relentless pressure on her to find a muslim boyfriend. It was heartbreaking and the subsequent distance made it impossible.
Imposing your faith on others and making that a prerequisite for suitability of a partner is just barbaric. It’s faith. Not the same as a set of values and principles as they are not unique to religion. It would be like rejecting someone just because they won’t collect stamps with you.
I see so much tension and violence and hatred in so many religious communities when people deviate from the doctrine or version of the faith they once adhered to completely. Apostates get banished or worse. Gay people the same. Interfaith marriage is heavily frowned on and god forbid they are atheist or jewish in the muslim case in particular.
I understand why these sites exist and of course you should be free to make them. I just don’t think they should. I see way too much suffering over nothing. It’s been going on for tens of thousands of years and yet no faith is above another. And yet they feud amongst themselves as if they are.
