This battle felt so out of the game, really impresive and something you would never expect from a mobile game

Edit: just noticed they're making a steam version with a new chapter and more story. I hope it's substantial and if not, I hope their next game is even better

Personally, I think that the caretaker (hole guy? What's their name anyway?) Was an animal themselves at some point. First off, a song called "crow feast" that has crow noises in it is an interesting theme for a being that takes on the general shape of a bird (during the boss fight, that is), who knows maybe they were a crow? Also, when he talks about humans and them making bad memories etc. he keeps using words like "us" (example: humans give *us* bad memories), suggesting that he is speaking from experience.
Idk, could be wrong but that's my theory.

And also aren't crows known for remembering human faces and even hold grudges?
Considering this thread is pretty recent, might as well add my insight. The OST is titled Crow Feast, and The Caretaker's motives is to take away the animals' memories. Let's just say, he feeds on them.

I had to beat the final boss 3 times once to do it another time for the picture and a third for the cat food restarted twice beat all 3 times
Same, but i had to beat it 4 times, cuz in one of these times i was on the part where that orb (i don't know his name) starts speaking to you and later he teleports you to your house, but my battery was low and my phone turned off.

Just finished the game today and i gotta say this is in my opinion one of the best mobile games out there as the music the story and everything else was epic and this boss fight is beautiful as even tho i knew that sometime around the forest i stared to suspect that the floating orb was the twist villain it still was amazing and the ending had left me speechless which is very rare for a game to do that to me. Overall i loved this game to bits.

I can't exactly say "Him" was the hardest boss battle. I mean, I ended up raging with my ears steaming on the 2nd boss, but after I watched what the final boss was before playing it, I mean, took like 70 deaths, but not IMPOSSIBLE. But hovering over that point.
