***** Exactly, Jason is one hell of a song writer. If anyone says that he didn't do anything in Born Of Osiris they must be lying. A lot of Chelsea Grins stuff on the Evolve EP reminded me a lot of The Discovery with sections in songs like "Lilith" (melodic sweeps in chorus) and "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" (intro chord progression and picking pattern). I Love Jason's contribution to this band as well as every other project he has been in. In my opinion, he is one of the best new young guitarist in metal at the moment. New album is going to be sick! As much as I love their Desolation Of Eden days, I still think this stuff is better. It's good to see them breaking away from the typical "bree bree chug chug" Deathcore stereotypes (which they did however execute very well).

what I don't get is why they made the singing part on dust to dust so quiet in the final cut if they recorded that many layers, I woulda really liked to hear all of those parts shine through. still liked it though.
I feel like I'm the only person who can appreciate there old stuff and their new stuff. I mean who really gives a fuck, if i sounds good listen to it, if it doesn't then don't, but you don't have to make a scene about how much you like or dislike their music (yeah I know I'm kinda causing a little scene right now but I'm sure someone else feels the same way)

No he's been in the band from the start. He just joined Hearts & Hands for fun just to do it. He left Hearts & Hands because they were getting bigger and bigger. He only wanted to focus on Chelsea Grin, he didn't think Hearts would get something going so yeah.
Alex Garcia Alex didn't really "join" Hearts & Hands. He is the one who created the band.
why do people think their self titled is their best work honestly its pathetic compared to DoE, My Damnation, and Evolve. CG is unique their sound changes every album which is great if they kept producing the same shit over and over it'll get boring to listen to and the band wont go far in their career they'll stay buried beneath all the other generic bands basically they'll stay underground forever. CG has a lot to offer for deathcore, metalcore, metal fans in general thats why i love CG. Really looking forward to this album so stoked.

@Spencer Phillips Trie but they can make a band 'bad' if the band doesn't suit them or they seem misplaced or just generally done poorly, and I don't think CG match them, its like going from modern Deathcore to modern metalcore in this case.

The real Chelsea Grin died after My Damnation, everything before that was solid and I loved it but since Jason joined the band, they're just not Chelsea Grin anymore. This is a different band, hell, I loved Evolve but it just isn't the same band than the previous albums.
