An 18 year old from Kurdistan tells our Europe correspondent Adam Parsons how she was rescued by French police from a boat on Tuesday - on which five people died.

If this woman has tried 31 times to illegally enter Britain why does the reporter take everything she says at face value? 31 times to illegally enter a country from a safe country! That must be very expensive, the criminals running those boats are not doing it out of charity.

I don't see any food shortage, and the housing problem isn't due to a lack of space to build housing or a lack of construction capacity. There could be plenty of housing to go around, but government has been playing a delicate balancing game on that for decades trying to keep house prices gradually rising so that homes may serve as people's retirement investment.

Why are the boats with loads of life jackets even being allowed to get to the beech in the first place. They are being brought in by vehicles who is bringing them. Why aren’t the French Police stopping these vehicles and taking the boats away.

Why didn't the RLNI take all these migrants back to France since it was there the crime was committed? From the TV footage it was obvious the crimes were committed yards from the French shore with French police looking on. And why didn't the French pursue and arrest all of them? Then the perpetrators wouldn't get away with their crimes. Is it so bad in France that French police would just look on as violence leads to death on their shores and do nothing? Is France a safe place for the Olympics?
Are the french exempt under the ECHR rules/laws that the UK loves to quote and abide by, and what about international laws ? there are murderers among them but we still sent boats to pick them up it is the worst time in our history for leadership quality.

Several years ago I met a refugee who told me that he travelled on a boat and when the coast guard saw them, some on the boat killed others with machetes and tossed them overboard so that they had a better chance of being rescued. I always wondered if he was one of the killers as he obviously made it through to a new country.

Don't forget that these people voluntarily choose to pay £3000-6000 for each place on the boat to the UK. How many Brits have that money to hand? These are the same people who now get to live in free warm accommodation with all meals provided, and then they work in the black market to get an extra bonus on top of their weekly allowance.
