BAT sounds like ebay on sterroids combined with a greedy Real Estate Agent. All this and still no guarantee you will get paid and as it appears seller does not even get a deposit.
They are like eBay on steroids. They rejected a submission for a very nice XJ I have, clean rust free stock except for a modified cooling system. They said they have high standards. They accepted an XJ just prior with a dirty engine bay and they actually had a listing which didn’t have a clean title and had a lien on it. Someone told me they get 100’s of submissions a day and don’t have the staff to cover it all. Also if you do get accepted you have to wait for a slot 6-8 weeks. Buyers also have to pay them a 5% fee on top of the winning bid.
The only thing I’m sketched out about is how I’d pay for the car when I win the auction and how I can guarantee the seller will make sure he mails me the title so I can get the shipping company to pick up.
I've done this many times and this is my approach. I usually send a wire transfer to the seller, but before I ask for a copy of the title and a picture ID to verify. BaT will verify ownership of sellers before they are allowed to list, so this is basically double assurance. I have had an issue once selling (the winning bidder never paid me), but never with buying. Hope this helps!
just watched another video of a guy downing BaT for not accepting his reserve. he felt it was due to greed but i agree with not setting reserves to high. E bay at one time was the best place to bid on vehicles but now its a joke and every listing is just dealers attempting to get contact information from potential buyers.
This video is very misleading and inaccurate. BaT often blocks even the highest bidders from asking the seller questions in the comment section of the auction. I was the high bidder in one of their auctions and every question I asked the seller was blocked by BaT plus the seller ignored all my question asked of them through the private message link. You can have a 5 figure bid and be blocked from gathering information or making comments so those who are considering placing bids you might want to think twice before doing so.
negative comments are considered "non constructive", they hold events and want you to submit a form telling them what you plan to drive there. they put on total shit mixed in with some decent cars and take offence when facts don't line up with their profit stream.....hacks and assholes in my opinion
Jeff, tells us how you really feel. Totally agree that BaT has a lot of room for improvement. But even so, it's a good venue for selling a certain type of vehicle.
BaT: **denies my Porsche 944 restomod project** Also BaT: **accepts pos ‘85 Camry, yes you read that right, a CAMRY, with about a million miles on it**
LMAO, been debating on selling a rare car on BAT. They have been in communication with me and no pressure to sell. Just answering my questions in an honest manner. And yes, people like me sell completed projects to BUY MORE PROJECTS.......yes Virginia there are stupid people in the world.
His cherokee sold for $21,699 on BringaTrailer
Overpriced lol
Wow.. Super informative and comprehensive. Thank you for the prep course!!!
Thanks for the video. I will be putting my 1987 Buick Grand National up on BAT. This answered some questions.
Love the walk through, thanks.
What is the way payment is done? Bank Transfer? Certified Check? PayPal? Any 3-rd party holder of money? Buyers Remorse? Etc?
Very entertaining thank you! I was told to put our 1992 Acura Legend on here.
Peugeot 504's did indeed come in that Ice Green color. :)
Very helpful. Thanks so much.
How about the buying process
Awesome video and you are hilarious... Great job!!!

FUBU GOT THAT FLAME
Whats the point of buying a car if it's just gonna sit in a garage 364 days a year?
I agree
xq39 can sell it for more
Well you can profit off of it. And invest in the buissness of profiting off BAT.
It’s more like 345 days
🚧 Here is my experience with BaT: ruclips.net/video/KZJzXmHvoZk/видео.html
