Now this is just epic. Just plain epic. Also the motor room layout is really interesting! I wish I had found something like that near me, but that sadly is not yet the case.
0:56 the shaft doors don’t look like kone doors 🤔. Beno is it possible that these ecodiscs are replacements of older lifts with the original shaft doors still in tact? Also at 1:01 the door tracks for the inner and outer doors don’t match.
That is a Really good point, Because when we see the motor room Where the Ecodisc is, we see these Cable tracks that lead into the shaft Connecting The Ecodisc and the Lift car. So this brings up another Question: WAS THE ECODISC SANDING IN THE SAME SPOT WHERE THE ORIGINAL MOTOR WAS?…
The lift is a replacement of an older lift. The lift car is a full replacement. The only part kept of the old lift is the outer doors. It is very weird that they had to alter the new inner doors to work with the old outer doors.
Why is it that the Ecodiscs here had guards around them, but the other motor room Ecodiscs in your other videos don't? This lift looked particularly enjoyable to surf.
I wouldn't say it is particularly complex. It is in 2:1 bottom drive configuration. The motors are in bottom drive configuration even though the motor room is at top of the shaft as there is not enough height in the motor room for the motors. If you want to see a very complex pulley system take a look at the Kone Powerdisc.
Maybe the building doesn’t have much floors that’s why they get a way by installing this very powerful lifts as the motors don’t really put much stress on them.
Nowadays most building have the cheapest possible equipment in them that they can get away with. It is uncommon to get a building with good specced lifts. It is almost unheard of to get a building with over specced lifts. The building owner, or someone managing the building, must have made a conscious decision to have got very good lifts installed.
@@asetatlikalem then you risk the anti rust coating, they should have installed a wide rope guide as well but if it ain't broke despite the high chance don't fix it.
@@LAUCHGeorge It appears to be a variant of the normal LCE inspection control. A few of the buttons have moved location. The emergency light has been replaced with a floor position light. The plug socket and the alarm button are missing.
@@EEverything360 The lift cars are the standard lift cars for MX18. It isn't an old lift car that was modernized. The lift is a full replacement. That's certainly some excellent overkill.
I like that panel of toggle switches to switch off floor services.
those people wanted high end motors.
The brake is really loud! It sounds great!

Kone Ecodiscs are my favourite lifts to ride. Nice video, Ben.

Hello im back watching youre videos again
That lift for the MX series is good for an 3rd generation ecodisc
I love the MX18 clunk
…over here in Singapore I have a 1905kg Kone MonoSpace that goes 2.5 m/s with the MX20 motor.
Sounds like the MX18 High speed edition lifts does go really fast.
So this motor is offsetted and they had this complex pulley system to feed the shaft? Amazing

Look at the door tracks. It looks like a schindler miconic.
You mentioned 38 floor lifts at E+C, but I can't find that video?
Oops, I made a mistake. It is a 36 floor gen2. Well I guess it is 38 floors if you count B and G.

that's totally overkill really

Can you please look at the Inspection control in the Machine Room?
Does it just look like it or do the ropes actually scrape on the concrete around 10:00? Isn't that a safety issue?
No thats compiletly safe

Can you take a detailed look on a MX100 ?
If someone can get me into the motor room of one I can

@@LAUCHGeorge If you hold it long enough it will send an emergency call. I suspect the in-car and inspection alarm buttons are bridged together.

...for horses.
They look like older lifts with an original cars but with new fixtures and motors.
I think Kone M Series judging the old Kone logos on the grills or whatever you call them over the motors.
