I've been informed that if you position your Felhunter with '/petmoveto' under the boss you can get it to reach the boss. Another good piece of information I didn't realise was using Shadow ward to reduce incoming damage.

Great guide, thank you! With Dispel + Kick it´s even easier. What I did was to position my pet under the boss (send it with /petmoveto directly to the edge), dispel the shield once the boss casts it and then kick the cast. After that I sent my pet to tank the add when it spawns and then basically kept swapping pet between boss and adds. Also, you have Soul Swap ready pretty much for every add, so they die quite fast. Just maintain dots and keep draining. Was pretty easy this way :)

Yeah great summary of the ideal way to do this! I made the video not knowing the felhunter could reach the boss so I focused on other ways to make it possible. I would have remade it or made it more detailed if the quest or fight was re-doable but sadly it's not :)

I tried this but I think the video's way is better to keep add off you. I always tried to dispel, sometimes he was in range, sometimes not, but I found it more helpful to have the pet tank add as priority and if he's out of range, so be it

Struggled a bit with this one and got a little frustrated. Found your guide and followed it, got it down almost disappointingly easy 😂 Thank you, the «let pet tank the adds» did the trick, in my brain the pet should stay under the boss at all times 😅

Great job and glad to hear it helped! I made this video because I was frustrated at the fight and all the other guides just showed it from a Mage's point of view where they spellsteal and make it look easy😄

So you did it completely without spellsteel and interrupting the boss? Do you think it is possible to just burst him as Demo with mastery swap at the beginning?

Yeah I did, if you position your felhunter im sure you could devour magic and dispel that way. I could mastery swap and burst in demo but it's more of a marathon than a race so you'll die to damage after a few minutes. Maybe with better gear and cleaner play by me, but my build in the video solved it regardless.

It will depend on your gear a bit! Try reforging to more haste (you don't need hitcap for raid bosses) and using soulburn drain life for faster heals in hectic moments

@@LightningBoltYtube how do we deal with You must steal/purge his Twilight Renovation right away. Watch for the buff, or look at him, when it's on him it will look like he's inside of a bubble gum bubble. Once stolen (yay for mages) it will protect you. Can warlocks steal or purge?

You can use felhunter to remove the buff.
Can also use it to silence boss

Whenever I die to the dragon and sometimes at other points, when I zone back in there are no mobs or anything and I can't try again without resetting and doing it all over again.

Yeah it's very buggy and I also ended up stuck on the platforms without enemies once. Did you try running the path I show at the end of the video? If you reached the boss once you should be able to run back this way. When you get close Tarecgosa should come flying and start the fight.
