He did the same with a letter that Woody Guthrie wrote to his wife. Jackson actually knew Leonard Cohen when he was in NY playing for Nico at the DOM and Andy Warhol in the studio on “Chelsie Girl” at age 18. He said Leonard would sit at a table and write poems to Nico. Finally Nico told Leonard that she only liked young boys (like Jackson) and that he was too old. On the DVD of “Going Home” ( ? I could be wrong about the source) there is a very brief sight of a photograph in which Andy Warhol is front and center, youngJackson Browne is in middle in terms of the depth of the room, with shoulder length hair and tinted glasses holding up a glass of red wine in the gesture of a toast and wearing a blazer while Lou Reed is seen way in the back of the room.
