      Thanks for your interest.
      Doing the same thing as everyone else is boring and doesn't yield interesting results.

    Wait!! You forgot the 2nd video about modifying this CNC mini-milling machine!! 😮...I had mine in the box for a year about to resale it because I found out had terrible reviews...Until you made it worthy.
    I still have trouble with the darn software though...But thank you for the time you spent sharing this precious info.
    I hope you can continue the series, I have two pre-teen boys eager to learn it!! Thank you very much! You are the only one truly savvy about this...Believe me, I have looked for over a year!!

      Thank you for praising me so much.
      I have an idea for my next mod, but I don't have time.
      But I want to make another video.

    Thank you for sharing! This is a great idea that Ill be able to use once building my own enclosure. I just got a 25kg of portland cement for some other project, hopefully this one will work nicely

    2 cardboard boxes would lower Db that much, I know I have a compressor I keep in two CB boxes to reduce noise and it works well.

    Pretty nice enclosure. Any idea what its weight is?

      I haven't weighed that one, but I think it probably weighs between 30 and 40 kg.

    What temperature is reached in the box?

    • @a-cnc-f
      @a-cnc-f  10 месяцев назад

      I don't know because I have never measured the temperature. The machine I am using does not generate that much heat, so I am not concern about it.

    I wonder how fast your spindle will die and the other motors as well. Very good Ventilation concept :). Rethink this once more, you will kill you machine during longer milling sessions. The motors will die because of overheating and when you are really unlucky you produce a fire. Im using something similar, but my spindle is watercooled and i mounted also some waterblocks on my nema23 motors. The water flows into a radiator outside the case and can exchange the heat. And yes, Nema17 motors can also die because of overheating.
    Try something to get the heat out of there or you will run into major problems.
    The rest is well done, but try to cool it somehow.

      Thanks for the advice.
      This motor is inexpensive so I think if it breaks, I can just replace it.
      I may change to a better motor then.
      However, I am afraid of fire.
      This soundproof enclosure is made of concrete and glass wool sound absorbing material, so I think it is hard to burn, but I am now thinking of adding urethane sound absorbing material.
      I am also planning to use a 3D printer inside this enclosure, so heat countermeasure is important.
      I will think of some countermeasures.

    Dampeners! Are they usable in cncs as are in 3d printers?

    • @a-cnc-f
      @a-cnc-f  10 месяцев назад

      Any machine that can fit in this soundproof box will be placed in it.
      The 5-axis CNC machine i am currently manufacturing is also designed to fit in this box.

      @@a-cnc-f Sorry about the short text, I texted from the smartphone. I mean: you should try dampeners to see if they are as effective in cnc machines as they are in 3d printers. :)
