It did reassure me that I'd ticked all the right boxes though, but my library is taking ages to build, probably because I've loads of music. I was wandering around the plex interface, and found there was an update to plex. At the time, I ignored it. I don't suppose you can tell me where I found it? Thanks again.
Great video, but I have a few questions which I am hitting a road block on, we have a wd passport pro wireless, installed plex, and my idea behind this is to use this as an entrainment center in the car with the kids when we travel, so my roadblock is trying to get the tablets to connect to plex on the wd pro, so I connect via wifi to the wd, and when I launch plex on the device, phone, tablet, etc, it does nothing, states server not found, what am I doing wrong?
ive got the newer version of the mycloud home .it does not let you add movie folders like you have and all the movies go in one folder so you cant have seperate cats like action family kids horror and so on . is there any way around this thanks
I have set up a WD MyCloud EX2 with Plex in the last few days - it works OK but as many will know it's not the most powerful NAS but then I mainly bought it for my Bluesound Node for which it is fine. I have had some issues playing content and set up DNLA so I could bypass Plex on the TV for problematic files though to be fair there aren't that many. What I can't understand is why some content plays OK on the TV via the Plex App (LG Oled) but the same files won't play on Plex on the Chrome Browser on my PC (which is decent spec i5). Of course I can still access the files direct with explorer so it's not a problem.

Can one use WD cloud be used to steam video etc without using plex? thanks for the great video
