What really confuses me is how can Nexon witness the success, demand and popularity of MapleLand, yet remain silent and inactive about making a 'true' Classic Maple. I really am baffled, it no longer is about money generation - the proof is there, the tens of thousands of people from Korea alone, then add us in Europe and those from USA and rest of the world, we are looking at a huge number.. they will make lots of money from it.. so it has to be something else.. is it pride? Is it stubbornness? I remember how several years ago they said in their own forums that Classic Maple will not be popular enough, so they wont make it, they were even closing forum threads related to Classic Maple.. now the results are out, they surely know it, they surely know they were so wrong, so it has to be some weird pride.. if they release their own official server, it is a type of admitting that they were wrong.. Such a weird company, disgrace for the Korean gaming market..
2x exp and drop rate would just make it a better game, cutting the time investment required in half. As somebody who's been playing private servers for a decade to get my old school Maple fix, most players will not reach endgame and most players will get bored and quit. 2x does not ruin the game it would just make it more bearable
100% agree, ive been on privates aswell. And in all honesty.... Those 2x EXP coupoons +winter boon (Or whatever it was called) +++ everything else u can get from seasonal events you can reach x3 or even x4? But all of those cost money. And im fine with paying money for cosmetics etc etc 100%, but paying for EXP coupoons that last 4h even if ur logged off? Fuck that..... If they lasted 4h, but would "hold" when ur offline then it would be a huge increase in "quality of life".

Like if you join a channel there are only 100 people in that whole "world"? I.e vic island channel 60 - everyone is spread out all over so doesnt that make the game and henesys etc feel dead and empty? There would be like 10 people in henesys
thank you for tuning in 😄 i think you're understanding correctly... there's 100 players in Victoria Island Channel 1 and they're spread out all over; that being said, people will still congregate in the popular maps like henesys so it won't actually "feel" dead
Honestly whoever does it right the fastest will get rich irl if the split with Nexon isn't to greedy. Also I hope there's minimal leeching/ hp washing. Would love custom content to deal with that bullshit

my prediction is we'll get to access Mapleland Korea, and that English translation might be available (just auto generated) my hope is that there's a brand new server ("Mmapleland America") set to open on October 16th both don't seem too far-fetched since there's major moneys to be made
I played MapleLand, idk TBH the game doesn't play like OSM. It feels like a mobile version of OSM. I don't think its anyones fault but the real issue is that it feels bad. If Mapleland is playing weird I don't have much hope for OSM like people hype it up to be on mapleworlds.

I'm really happy to revisit this game after 15 years
